I'm trying to figure out a way to add boundries for different player 'ranks'
As in an area that only builder+ ranked can build, and another area for everyone.
I currently have a world with an area that's bed rocked off from the rest of the world, and I'd like to make it so whitelisted players can only build there and no where else. Anyone have any advice on how to implement this?
*Whitelisted players = players that can access the server.
To be able to do "extra" things on a Minecraft server, you need to install plugins.
Bukkit is a plugin framework, you'll need craftbukkit to get things started. http://bukkit.org
You'll need to check out the WorldGuard plugin.
Or even iZone.
You can find those plugins on the bukkit plugin releases forum.
Thanks guys, ya I'm using worldedit right now, getting really familiar with it.
I've noticed that WorldGuard no longer 'officially' supports hMod, that basically means to use it I need to move to Bukkit right?
BTW, for anyone else looking for more information on creating boundaries, use this link http://wiki.sk89q.com/wiki/Main_Page
WorldEdit and WorldGuard are both on this page, as well as CraftBook (which I love already)

Bukkit superseded hMOD, so you will find a lot of the hMOD plugins have moved over there, and no longer support hMOD.
