I HAVE ABANDONED THIS PROJECT. Bukkiteer is a [WIP] simple mac application that will simplify the process of setting up and running a server. It's coded in applescript/objective-c, and the source code is available for download under the GPL.

But one problem. If this is designed for low-IQ people, how will they work out port forwarding? If they can't port forward, then this application is kind of useless.
But nice either way. If only they were to make MCLawl for Mac, or MCForge!
Haha actually, I might include http://www.mycraft.no/ , a MCLawl continuation, at some point in the future.
First post updated, now hosted externally and has upgraded to alpha 0.0.2. I still need some help with xcode/applescript, as this is actually my first application ever :tongue.gif:
the launch button could be easy to make with some basic applescripting.
making it launch a terminal, navigate, and then execute the java command.
I think I have that script on my macbook.
Haha yeah. That's actually EXACTLY what I did. Since you seem applescript-savvy, want to join my dev team? It's harder than you think -_-'
Hell no D: This is an amazing tool. We just need more users to see it. Try renamin the title to something showing that it's for the Mac, and a server launcher, post a copy of this thread in the server forum and bump it up when needed.
Haha. Done, done, and done. :smile.gif: Anything you think would be good to add to Bukkiteer to make it better?
Ok, so I tested it out, and ran into quite a few bugs; First time I ran the application the Quit button didn't work properly, resulting in me having to CMD+Q it. Furthermore, the launch server didn't work, throwing an error that it couldn't make "Macintosh HD:Applications:Bukkiteer" into type item. Afterwards, after I moved it into my application folder, and ran the Launch Server button, it threw an error telling me that I did not have the permission to create a folder/file here.
Since I didn't have the opportunity to test it, I can't really help you more than report the above errors.
Hm. That's really strange. What version of OSX are you running? Also, what do you mean by "The quit button didn't work properly"? It works fine on all of my friends's macs.
Well, the quit button didn't work properly the first time. Afterwards, it worked fine. And, I'm running Snow Leopard.
Hm. Well, I have no idea why the quit button didn't work. The thing about it is that if you have a java process running in your terminal that isn't the server it may glitch. About the Launch Server not working; try right-clicking the bukkiteer folder in your applications folder (you did put the entire folder in, not just the app, right? the folder is crucial.) hitting get info, and setting the permissions to everyone.

No folder was included in the .zip.
Really? oops :$ I messed up. I will fix that ASAP, then you can download it and try again. Sorry!
It might take a few hours, because my sister and her friend are like attacking the mac and I have to go onto my laptop. So, i'll kick them off as soon as I can and re-upload it.

Haha yeah, but the minority of people use macs. Anyways, there can never be too many servers, as long as they don't spam posts about them.
Would 50 be mentally challenged lol
This looks nice, although i don't have server
