Ok here is the million dollar question. I have a 2wire 3800HGV-B provided by AT&T Uverse. I have attempted to get everything working through hamachi, opening my ports, setting my computer as DMZplus mode, any and everything I have seen in the 500+ tutorials and threads, none of which work. I can connect to my own server, duh, but anyone using hamachi, external ip, anything can not connect. I have set the ip for the server to the external ip, hamachi ip, internal ip, no ip, any and everything in all the different ways I have tried and nothing works.
Run down of what I have done:
Hamachi
Port Forwarding
DMZPlus
Hamachi with port and DMZplus
Nothing works. I have no software firewall either.

Have you done port forwarding?
My Server is not in the DMZ and people from the outside can connect. Basically you open the port required. After that you tell your Router to send anyone trying to connect to your IP from that port to send it to the server. Make sure your server also has a static internal IP.
My Basic Map
---Outside World--->Connecting to you under Port *****---->Router sending Port ***** Connections to---->192.168.*.*
for hamachi you don't need to port forward. Never used dmzplus or whatever though. Try using only hamachi, having someone connect to your network you made, give them the ip that is next to the power button and tell them to connect with that ip in minecraft (make sure the server is running though) If that doesn't work try adding the port to the end. And if that doesn't work see if they have a connection via the hamachi interface. (no light = no connection) If they have a red light it isn't working because they are not able to connect to you properly.
Hate to be rude, but if you read my full post, you can see i tried everything. Port Forwarding, DMZplus, Hamachi, Hamachi with port forwarding, Hamachi with DMZplus. Nothing works what so ever.
Think it is the 2wire 3800HGV-B provided by AT&T Uverse, that even though it is opened, port forwarded, or even DMZplus, it still doesn't work with or without hamachi?
Hey if you wouldn't mind, send me your hamachi network stuff through a pm so i can try to help you.
I have come to learn its not hamachi that is causing it, as a friend on my network can host a game and everyone can join that fine. Yet when I host the game, noone can connect. So i doubt it is the program, as we all freshly installed it last week and started playing.
apparently it was my computer. Did a fresh install on my laptop a few days back, and it works perfectly on there using hamachi. guess all that tweaking i did to my desktop made mine not able to host.
I know this old but I ran across the same problems trying to set my ATT router up to act as a server in Minecraft and could not find too much support. I eventually figured it out and wrote how I did it in the following link.
I know it is extremely unlikely that anyone will ever read this, but i am having the same problem. If anyone could help with this, i would be very thankful. Here is any information you might find helpful if you can help:
Manufacturer 2Wire, Inc.
Model 3800HGV-B
Hardware Version 2700-100531-006
Software Version 6.3.7.42-plus.tm
Thanks, even if you cannot help. To contact me go to my profile and e-mail me with the e-mail button. Thankyou for spending the time to read this.

If not, your forwarding is not correct.
