I've been attempting to host a server on which a few friends and myself can play. However, my servers generally work for a while with no problem and then crash for no apparent reason. My computer is fine and my internet connection is more than sufficient. I'm wondering if there are other server softwares that you can run an SMP server with?
I gave fcraft a try. It looks great but there's no option for SMP and the worlds seem to be static—never getting larger when you explore. Would any of these (or others) work for SMP?
why are there suddenly so many noobs who think that all the custom servers on that list are SMP servers? =/
Because that list doesn't clearly state that it only consists of creative servers. Why in the world would you expect noobs to intuitively know everything there is to know about all of the poorly documented third party software for an indie block building game?
I stumbled across this list yesterday:

Thank you!
