Here it is. Put minecraft_mod.jar in the same folder as everything else (right now some timing out issues coming up since minecraft.net seems to be down, may be causing this).
Anyways for the .command file use this:
java -Xmx2048M -Xms2048M -jar minecraft_mod.jar
Don't add nogui at the end (it will remove commands from working). Hopefully it works for you, it did for me.
Huh
I cant do that because simpleserver cant wrap around minecraft_mod.jar, I have to insert the class files into minecraft_server.jar.
When i load it up on terminal it keeps saying loading server on *:25565... I want it to load on 4567 but it wont work help?
Have you tried going to server.properties and changing the port= to 4567?[/quote]
Of course i have but it still doesnt work... Im pretty sure that 4567 is an open port according to Canyouseeme.org... And it just presents a connection lagg to my mates on the other side..

Thats weird. I just tried changing port to 4567 in server.properties, saving and restarting the server, and it displayed 4567 as the port. I dunno what to tell you, Ive never seen/heard of that problem before.
I've had great success using the c10t mapping tool on my Mac. There's a lot of installing libraries to get it working, but it's great and has isometric/night views, etc…
It generates Google Maps style webpages that can be panned and zoomed. It also updates really fast after the initial mapping since it caches map chunks.

If server admins want to keep their servers running without terminal running as an open window (if terminal is closed, so is the server), they can do this extra step so only the minecraft SMP server window is open:
Make an Applescript -
1) Open Applescript Editor (Applications/Utilities/Applescript Editor)
2) Type in:
do shell script "/Users/~/Desktop/Minecraft/BootAlphaServer.command"
(directory will differ based on where your .command script is)
3) Save the script and run it from anywhere
Voila - you now have your SMP server running without terminal open.
P.S. In theory, you could completely bypass the whole .command setup using only an Applescript, but I haven't put in the time to figure it out.
Hey guys,
I set up minecraft using this guide, but now everytime I log in, the screen goes black indefinitely. Any thoughts on this? I'm going to retry everything but I was curious if there was an easy fix.
Huh

What do you mean by "it"?
Have you tried going to server.properties and changing the port= to 4567?

java -Xmx500M -Xms500M -jar
Then you drag Server.minecraft.jar in and it doesnt load up as 4567 it loads up as 25565

The 1.1 build has trouble compiling the final c10t tool, but someone on the thread has posted a "snapshot" that works.
Not sure I follow. Had what working?
Yet another mapper that works great on Macs and is really easy to set up (relatively) is brownan's Minecraft-Overviewer which is available at http://github.com/brownan/Minecraft-Overviewer/issues
It generates Google Maps style webpages that can be panned and zoomed. It also updates really fast after the initial mapping since it caches map chunks.

The server had been working earlier, and after trying to install hey0's mod this happened.

Using my install instructions, thats what Hey0's mod does to mac servers for some reason. Hydriver found a workaround earlier in the thread.
