V3.1 is out and has adopted the Direct to Tile (https://github.com/brownan/Minecraft-Ov ... t-c-render) version of Overviewer. Support for older versions have been dropped though they can still be used. If you wish to keep the older versions you will need to rename gmap.py or gmap.exe to overviewer.py or overviewer.exe . You will then need to change the overviewer options to comply with the older version. I highly suggest updating to the DTT version as it is much faster and doesn't require the first caching stage. It also allows you to render more than one mode at a time. Refer to the settings for more information. There is now an Overviewer OPTIONS setting allowing you to customize the commands. Finally, support for sessions in WinSCP has been added. This is only necessary if you are Backing up from a Remote Server who's timezone is different from yours.
V3.0 Supports Backing up Remote servers. Do you have a server host such as xenonservers.com with no way to backup your files or run mapping software? Now you can. Simply follow the directions below and the script will connect to your server via FTP, download the files and then run the backup and mapping process like you were running the server on your own machine. Not the best solution, but it's better than nothing. If using this for remote server backup, saveall should be disabled and an alternative method such as SimpleCronClone (http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/admn-s ... m-527.6331) should be used.
Full Backups:
* Copies the world directory of your Minecraft Server and Server files to a temp directory and compresses it using 7-zip or winrar (your choice) to a time stamped archive. Temp directory is then Deleted
Incremental Backups:
* Copies the world directory of your Minecraft Server and Server files to a cache directory.
* Compresses (7-zip required) one Master file that is then used for incremental backups.
* Each initial run of the Script creates a dated folder to store a 'Master'
* Following Passes copy only changed files to cache directory.
* Updated Cache files are compressed and added to a separate dated/numbered archive in dated folder where master is contained.
* If restored backup detected, the cache is deleted and updated. A new dated folder will then be made.
* Restore Script included to making restoring to any backup time/date easy as entering a few paths.
Options:
* Option to use Cartograph G to create world images of each backup.
* Option to use included VBS Script to force server to save-all before backup.
* Option to use Brownan's Minecraft-Overviewer for very high quality zoom-able image of world.
* Option to use WinSCP to upload Overviewer map to remote webserver via FTP
* Option to Backup ENTIRE Minecraft Server directory or exclude certain files
* Option to upload backup to remote FTP
Required Applications:
* rar.exe from winrar or 7z.exe from 7-zip (7-zip REQUIRED for Incremental Backups)
7-zip is open source and can be found here: http://www.7-zip.org/

Small update to fix time not being written during morning hours. Forgot quotations around file name dating. All files have been updated to reflect fix.
Also removed extra Call KeyIt( "(l)", T1) from VBS file. Doesn't affect anything right now, but fixed for future possiblities.
All files updated in OP.

Added delay before Cartograph starts. Was freezing up when it started too soon after the files were compressed.
Added proper comment lines and new ones.
Updated VBS Script to bring window into focus first. Was sometimes missing the first letter when trying to save all.

Previous timer for Cartograph reduced. Lock ups were probably the temp file the entire time. Timer left in for a just in case measure.
Added line in Variable to change the map type that Cartograph creates. Will need to refer to Cartograph Readme.txt for options otherwise set to normal.
All files and scripts updated in OP.

so, i am using the saveall vbs, but every time i execute it alone to see if it functions, it instead calls a number of other items in the same directory, instead of switching windows.
any ideas to help? also running nogui server so the window title is "Administrator: C:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe -java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar minecraft_server.jar nogui"
so currently running in -novbs mode.
one more edit) i love you for further doing this as the addon. rars are beautiful.
However, alternatively, if you're using a batch file to execute your nogui server, simply open it and place this at the top of the batch file below "echo off":
title Minecraft Server
The problem you are seeing is it's either, not finding the window for whatever reason, most likely the title. It's executing in the open directory because it doesn't find the window its looking for and just executes where it's at.

well issue is that when not using a batch, that title will not stay persisted and instead changes to such as minecraft - java etc. but the issue is that i cannot find the right typing of the window title i guess.
edit: any ability to do an approximate title function? like matching first few letters, because if i use batch, i lose control of my console.
I don't understand why you lose control of the console when using batch? The console is the window title you need to point to. I don't believe you can wildcard call the window. The best alternative if you can't get a window name to stick is to leave the minecraft console as the front active window after starting the backup file. If it's the top most active window then the script should target it when it can't find the proper name.

well whenever i use a batch file to execute the server for some reason it refuses any keyboard input, not sure why. and i think that might affect the vbs as well.
@echo off
Title Minecraft Server
java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar minecraft_server.jar nogui
If you enter that into a batch file and place it in the directory with your minecraft_server.jar it should work and the console should accept input. It's exactly the same as using cmd.exe .

What version of windows are you running your server on? The command SHOULD be available for most all windows versions. Do a search for xcopy.exe in your windows folder. If you find it then it may just be unregistered. Once you find the path location, simply add it to the batch code.

I'm having an issue where no matter how I change the Cartograph options in the bat, they make Cartograph crash instead of run. I want to have it set to obliqueangled night mode but nothing I do will make Cartograph not crash. Only the default options make it not crash. :sad.gif:
adding a 6th 0 messes it up because we change the custom output file. Try that and get back with me.

Just remember. The last part in most commands:
(0 = standard output file, anything else = override)
Leave that 0 out. It determines standard output file or not. Which ours isn't. Since we always make a dated png .

yeah, I noticed this with it as well. It must be a bug in cartograph . Only option would be to have the batch file move and rename it when its done. Wouldn't be too hard to do.

In order for it to work for you, you need to change the window title in the vbs script.
Open it with a text editor and look for this line:
T1 = "Minecraft Server"
Change it to
T1 = "Administrator: C:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe -java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar minecraft_server.jar nogui"
