My ankle's uncle is my uncle's ankle. It's true! My Server Mods: Runecraft SMP Server Mod - java class replacer for SMP which adds magic runes. Llamacraft SMP Server Mod - bucket fix, lava nerf, etc.
It's quite easy, after the ID of furnace (61), there is the ID 62, described as "burning furnace". This one works.
So whenever the client tries to spawn a furnace, i modify the packet to make it spawn a "burning furnace".
Why is the client connecting from localhost (127.0.0.1)?
All clients do with my modification. This is because MCAdmin acts as a connection tunnel (for being able to inject/block packets sent from/to clients).
Very nicely done! Only thing I would like to know is if you have plans to make an easy way to import maps from other saves or servers? Because I want to move my save game file from the default SMP server files to the MCAdmin world files.

Well, you can just move the "world" folder of your old SMP to the MCAdmin folder (and delete the old "world" folder if it exists).
But I can sure make an import feature for worlds which would merely be a file copying assistant.
With noupdate it still tries to update the .jar. :-(
Also, what parameters is the server started with? I prefer to run mine with 2 GB memory assigned (-Xmx2048M -Xms2048M) instead of just one, because that makes it more stable and less laggy.

I need to look into fixing the noupdate, because it works fine for me, maybe i misspelt it in the code.
It is currently started with "-Xms1024M -Xmx 1024M" (aka 1024MB assigned), but I can make that changeable (in the "server properties" GUI).
From what I understand MCAdmin will cause no conflicts with both Llamacraft and hey0's mod, because it's "just" a wrapper?
I want to use it not for administrative purposes but for the fact that you managed to intercept block packets. =)

Update release 5.
Changelog:
-Some internal management changed so its more proof against failures.
-Added memory management (-Xmx and -Xms parameters). These can be changed in the "Server properties" window.

If you turn off the updating, then yes, it won't cause any conflicts (I think I fixed the "noupdate" parameter now).

Well, say hello to continuous connection attempts and untraceable DDoS attacks.

Thanks, I figured out the copying whole world thing, but this would be a nice feature for those who are new to servers.
I tried to use this but there are honestly too many holes in the 'block security' for me to continue using it.
I need to be able to do two things:
1) Define what blocks are illegal to place
2) Ban IP Ranges (no one has this right now. It's not very much work to put it in. Just make it so that an incomplete IP entry such as 192.168.1. will match against 192.168.1.XXX)

1) Will add in future release, the block-firewall was only a beta to see if it even works
2) Good idea, will add it.
how'd you manage that? :tongue.gif:

These are no problem, MCAdmin itself knows the IPs still and I will add an IP logging / banning system soon enough :wink.gif:
//EDIT: New release, now added IP bans :smile.gif:
