This has to be one of the best Admin-addons I've tried so far!
It has the most features I've seen of ANY of them, and I've tried most of them.. Plus this one is really nice and stable, I haven't had the server crash or time-out on me at all, all day today!
Thanks for making such a great one! I hope the next version is just as stable and I can't wait for the new features. :wink.gif:
Thanks for making this great tool, it really is awesome.
Running it right now on: 174.36.164.200
This is a dedicated server running CentOS 5.5 and it works perfectly.
We have noticed one problem though. The black list can be circumvented very easily by padding with 0s.
For example, 46 is in the blacklist to stop TNT from spawning.
However, #summon 046 works.
I added 046 to the blacklist as well but #summon 00000046 ad infinitum seems to work.
Thanks again for making this great tool, it's very much appreciated!

Since this is an easy fix I am fixing it right away.
EDIT: Fix is released and working. Thank you for pointing this out. This sort of behavior is probably due to the way Java parses integers combined with Notch's implementation of the give command on the server. I didn't feel the need to trim the user's text because I wrongfully assumed that it just wouldn't work :sad.gif:

Again, I really appreciate this wrapper - it's very useful and works well.
I guess you haven't been reading the topics posted on these forums then. My favorite ones are people asking others to connect to their 192.168.1.101 server and others responding they can't connect and don't know why.
Besides I think your instructions in the OP have done enough scaring people away.
For the sake of it..a suggestion for later addons. I want to be able to enter custom commands. Basically I tell the server to watch for certain text to be put in the output..and then I can tell it what to type into the input. For instance, instead of having what it says hard coded for when someone joins a server (like say me logging in admin). I'd like to be able to tell it to look for (admin) logged in...and then I can write out what to do with the script. Like say whenever I log in I want it to give me a special admin starter pack (or do similar for others). I'd like to be able to tell it what to do when it sees anyone say #help (mostly have the server give a say..and be able to sum up commands..).
Mainly this is because I want to be able to code in my own help files..without you needing to parse out our files even more. This allows allows anyone to code out custom help files and so on. So if I want people to get a list of all the kits available when they say #kits....I just tell it to watch for #kits..and then to type out "list of kits". Would that sort of funcionality be too hard to do? Again I just want to be able to fill out another txt file, telling it what to look for..and what to respond with.

PvP is like sex. When both parties are willing, it can be a very enjoyable experience. However, when one party is not, it is bound to ruin someone's day.
I deleted the classpath for java in the enviorment variables and it worked fine with a few bugs
To do this goto start > right click 'My Computer' select properties > Go to the Advanced tab > Select 'Environment Variables' Look for CLASSPATH (Make sure you remember what the classpath was so if you need it you can readd it later) once you find the classpath entry delete it...That's it!
I set up the batch file as "java -Xmx1024M -Xms512M ServerLauncher whitelist 20" without quotes
Xmx1025M and Xms512M stands is to fix any memory issues..
Note: Two instances of java run one for the server and one for the wrapper, plus anything else you run at the same time thats using java..
Bugs so far:
* Have to press enter after "Starting input loop"
* Can't see what you type in the prompt
* Java stays running it you just close the prompt without using the stop command
* Generating a new map can be lethal (Takes time for the chunks to appear..derp fell through the world a few times )
Hope this works for someone else! I spent hours figuring it out!
FunFact, if you want to make the command line look cooler
you can add any of the folowing numbers/letters to change the color that the text will appear...Example color 09 will produce a black background with blue text and 40 will produce a red background with black text...
0 = Black 8 = Gray
1 = Blue 9 = Light Blue
2 = Green A = Light Green
3 = Aqua B = Light Aqua
4 = Red C = Light Red
5 = Purple D = Light Purple
6 = Yellow E = Light Yellow
7 = White F = Bright White
I'm not sure if this is a problem with the wrapper or the server itself, but I get a ton of mismatches with coord triples. Anybody else? I am using the most recent.

My curiousity is getting the best of me. If this works for people I'd like to know :tongue.gif:
Also I think the mismatches are due to server bugs...**** tonne of mismatches if you try to delete blocks around the spawn area, mismatches during server lag if you delete a block an it takes the server time to register it...something like that, its the first release of the server so..-shrugs- bugs ahoy!
I hate to be the black sheep of the herd, but I don't like this. At first when I put it in my server, I though, "cool, I can manage the server without actually using the console". But then there was that one gay-ass command, #fun. This thing can not only be lethal (yet humorous), but it turns the challenge of find resources into a few clicks. In other words:

Don't use the #fun command and stop being an elitist ***** then. People shouldn't be TOLD how to play the game - they should be able to choose within the limits of the system, since then everybody can have fun. Choices are good.

Just released an update with the "long-awaited" and "beautiful" source code. You'll all be disappointed. :tongue.gif:

Mirror to update and in zip form, for those of you who don't know what to do with a tarball.
The tarball was meant to be a test though. You know, to scare people away who couldn't handle the task of running a server. :tongue.gif:

That would work just fine as a workaround until he fix's the chests. Is it possible OP?
