Finally got this working, using version 5.9. I'm running a white list server. I'm wondering if there's any way to add to allowed.txt from inside the game? Right now I'm finding I have to shut the server down and manually add anyone to allowed.txt, and that's getting annoying. If I edit allowed.txt with the server running, the server eventually overwrites allowed.txt with an older version.

Thanks!
Two ways to do this:
Round-about way: Manually add to allowed.txt and type "#reload" in-game.
Best way: Have an admin "#allow <playername>"
I don't care to browse all ten pages of this thread, however I would like to say I got your wrapper going just fine. No problems once so ever.
Anyways, I'd like to make a suggestion. Give (non-admin) users the ability to give their points away to other players.
I don't know if it's been suggested already, like I said, I only read the first two or so pages and didn't see mention of that (perhaps the point system was implemented at the time of those posts).
If you have to ask why, it's because I was using it as currency tonight on my server. It worked out well except I had to manually do all the transactions. There were only four of us, but if there was any more it'd get a bit chaotic.
I just want players to be able to say "#givepoints <name> <number>" type of deal. They of course wouldn't be able to give more than they have, or create points like an admin can.
This wrapper still works with the most recent update.
I am currently phasing out "useless" features from the wrapper.
Also, newest .class in the SVN reposity has two new commands:
#tp <player> <- TP for trusted and up or players with funmode enabled.
#bring <player> <- reverse TP for admins
After integrating the .class and .java files from the SVN, the server-wrapper works again, thanks for fixing it so quickly :biggrin.gif:
That being said, are the #tp and #bring commands working yet? I've tried running them from our updated server and they don't seem to be functional; am I missing something?
I have a .bat file in the newest release (from google code). Just double click that. If there is some error saying that "java cannot be found" then follow the instructions I gave to set your PATH variable correctly.
I have no clue how to get the TP command, ive downloaded ur latest files and #tp does work :sad.gif:. I've looked into the .java file to see if i can find it . No luck ..
Saw an earlier post, which stated the commands we're in "SVN reposity" .. noo clue where thats at Help thanks alot for this wrapper btw !
For TP you have to download the .java and/or .class file from the SVN repository. You have to download it from the "Source" tab then look under the "trunk" folder to find the most recent files. I haven't tested the commands or other changes I made too much so use at your own risk or wait until I officially release them.
I have been busy for the past few days so I have been losing a bit of steam. Give me some time :smile.gif:
As for colors - what do you mean. Colored names? No, but the LlamaCraft server mod has this. Colored messages? Maybe, but for what purpose? Color codes within messages? Maybe, but again why?
1. Extract the tar.gz file in the directory of the server jar (NOT the .exe, you need the non-gui server).
1.5. (Windows only) If you are on a Windows machine make sure your PATH (DO NOT TOUCH CLASSPATH) environment variable is set correctly for Java. As the wrapper's internals requires this!
* See http://www.cs.princeton.edu/introcs/15i ... s-cmd.html for setting your paths variable and keep in mind that your "Java" folder may be located in "Program Files (x86)" instead of "Program Files".
2. Edit ServerLauncher.properties to your heart's content.
3. Run server.bat if you are on a windows machine or server.sh if you are on a *nix/max machine. Alternatively you can run the following from the commandline:
java ServerLauncher

Not working atm, and will not get updated in the near future, sorry.
TY for a great server wrapper.
For us here in Laggy South Africa its a godsend. Local speeds are +- 80kb/s in & 45kb/s out , International +- 30kb/s in& +- 12kb/s out.

Ah, well I can wait for 6.0. I thought maybe you got rid of it for whatever reason.
Thanks, mate!
Thanks!
If anyone wants a quick guide, i can bang one together.

Any chance on adding colors?

PvE server: mc3.joe.to
Survival server: mc4.joe.to
Try the one I just put up when you get a chance. It should be working fine now.
