I just thought of something...does your level converter have trouble converting maps that has been used in minerCPP (and other servers), possibly because of the different kinds of info stored (like guest area and dense blocks)?
the problem is´nt mynecraft...
it´s becuase that MinerCPP strips of a header to save files 8-).
BUT!!!
that makes it useless in other programs :!:
The sulution:
Dump it with !no name, you now what is it!(WOM) and use that :smile.gif:
@fotoply Oh, I didn't think of that. But I'm still getting this:
Quote from converter »
Warning: copy(/home/mynecraf/www/converter/uploads/main_436415.dat) [function.copy]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/brad/public_html/domains/mynecraft.co.cc/converter/convert.php on line 9
Error copying file. Oh well. :\

And yeah, of course it does. It takes only the STANDARD vanilla server level files as it is. No .mine files, just server_level.dat
Right, but does minerCPP's stripping of headers affect the conversion? Because it's still server_level.dat, but I'm still getting the error above.
I tried converting other maps. I tried the dumped file, resaved file of the dumped file with Omen, generated map with Omen, and even the map that's generated with the official minecraft-server. None of them works and get this exact same error:

Okay, I managed to get the converter working :biggrin.gif: . So now I can make maps :happy.gif:. So anyway, if PixelEater hasn't fixed it soon, you can PM me your .dats and I'll convert them. Note that I'm very busy all day tomorrow (eight weeks of uni work I haven't done has finally caught up with me), so don't expect anything before Thursday, as I installed Linux on my external HDD which requires power and hence stays in here. But yeah, I got the converter from an old revision of Mynecraft on the website, I notice it's been removed from the newer ones...
Could you not provide info on how you got it to work? That way people may be able just just do it themselves. :smile.gif:
I hate to be a burden, but after fiddling with it for an hour I can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong.
I installed python 2.6, twisted and got simple json installed. (in windows)
Yet when run I get this error:

Again, I hate, hate, hate when people can't figure things out for themselves. But I really am at a loss. :[

Hey i need a hand i got it all right and when i run run.py it needs simplejson so i went got it and how the hell do i install it sorry for this
If you're using windows, just install setuptools (http://pypi.python.org/packages/2.6/s/s ... 9aafe053dc) install it, go to the "C:\Python26\Scripts\" folder, hit start>run>cmd> drag the "easy_install.exe" to the command window, then the .egg you downloaded.
Hit enter.
As per the included readme.html

Got this problem too, it's because there's a dependency for Twisted Python, zope. You can download it here, but you need to get the 3.3.0 package and build it like it says with the build then install commands.

Thank you so much for pointing me in the right direction! Everything is running fine now.
I'm back at MyneCraft now and recommend everyone to update to the latest version. It is now even better then the older versions. I have also dropped the converter for the time being.
How is this on ram? I've heard from... Sources, that Mynecraft has trouble managing ram and has a memory leak due to the nature of python. Is this true?
