Seeing as the latest build didn't include a .dat to .lvl coverter app for me to use on my other maps, is there any chance a mirror could be posted for that too? I'm still learning how to use MCSharp, but I'd love to test it on previously built maps.
Also, this server script is absolutely amazing! Excellent job!
I decided to run a server once again, and this time using MCSharp. I think it's great software, and I am happy to use it. Thank you for taking the time to code it!
But I have a couple things that are driving me up the wall. One being the player limit of 64. Now I am aware of the following:
1. Anything greater than that will flood the network capacity of me and my clients.
2. Even 64 players is unrealistic, and my server wont be that popular.
Same thing goes with the cuboid limitation for server owners/highest rank. Certainly it's a stupid idea to mass modify so many blocks while the server is running. But here's the way I see it...
In principle, I, as the server runner, should have the right to do something stupid. A warning ("Your max players is unrealistically high!") would be practical, sane, and in order. But I find complete limitation a bit frustrating. The limitations are perfectly realistic, but I feel they hold bad principle. Warnings are great, limitations are frustrating.
With that said, thank you for the software :smile.gif:. It's great and easy to use!
Edit:
I did not realise how small 50,000 blocks really is. That is rediculous, I will now take liberty to use some other server software. The problem is not that 50,000 blocks is a "bad idea", the problem is that your cuboid creates lag in the first place.
Please note that the only part of MC#'s source that legally belongs to Neko is the code concerning the physics, everything else was rewritten while he was away. Do not listen to anything he says.

Just so everyone knows I quit MCSharp for good, I've just been back stabbed by kakashisuno/ulrich and it was clearly evident I was being replace in the last 3 week while I had a load of more important work to do. Apparently I should have been more of a jerk to everyone like clone and all my hard work from MCSharps small beginnings of just the two of us to the back stabbing team it is today.
I guess it wasn't all a total was and it was fun while it lasted but clearly Kakashi felt having a free crappy webhost was more important than the future of MCSharp.
Here is the MCSharp source code

Please do whatever you want with this code and please DO ignore the license which was illegally added without my consent in the first place, I would personally recommend using it to either learn how a server works or to improve your own customs servers.

The fact you say the physics is all I ever did is the reason I quit, just so you know I worked on a lot more than just the physics yet never was recognised for anything else.
Neko, I never said the physics were the only thing you did, but in the current source, it's the only thing that wasn't recoded so to speak.
and again, you didn't quit, I kicked you off the team.
I actually was already considering quitting due to recent event of the fact I was clearly getting replaced, the very reason I started work on my own server a few weeks ago. You just made it easier to decide to announce it, Its just a shame since I actually coded a load of things wanted in MCSharp in the past week but kept uncommitted due to talks of recoding so I've been holding back to avoid svn issues.
What's the problem anyway, everyone said they wanted to go open source in the end.

I take serious offence to my post being deleted without even bothering to discus the issues with me, MCSharp was always heading for open source and I feel now is the best time. This does not stop you from continuing work on MCSharp and if anything all the devs originally were asking for open source and now that is a possibility, I am disappointed that some one has taken the liberty to lie and get the original post removed entirely instead of just the link.
Goggle huh? Is that a new company? :-P
Also, I am not changing any settings to connect to one site.
There are reasons people request for mirrors--this being one of them.
Thank you for putting one up though, descention. It is appreciated very much :-)

the max overload is 5000, not much, it still triggers physics shutdown :tongue.gif:
Lower your roof, make your maps smaller.

Edit: What happened to then?
repainting a car does not make it yours.
But would you download it?
What?
