Today I came back to my server to find it crashed due to a memory overload. I checked my mail, and found I had recieved a mail from one of my OPs that some player had deleted adminium, flooding my caves.
This person was not OP.
This frightens me. Not only do I fear for my own server, but I fear for Minecraft as a whole. If one can delete adminium with a properly hacked client, who is to say that would not be distributed? And that would be, of course, unpleasant.
I just wanted to notify you of this, and if this is not new at all - delete this thread, please.
EDIT --------- IMPORTANT:
It seems that the hacker was not banned. He appeared again, and one of my operators banned him. I asked why, and the operator told me it was him.
His username is Loures, and his ip is 87.16.200.116. I would highly suggest banning him - and while it may not be significant when the HWB (hackers without borders) come upon us, hold off the flooding untill the cavalry (as in Notch) arrives.
I think it should be policy in these threads that you have to state your verify-names value.
True, I hope?
Oh, yes. Very. My OPs would have gone nutshit crazy if it were one of the other OPs that flooded it, and would have told me so. No, this was someone who was not OP.
Yes, Its a hacked client, a friend of mine to which im not naming names... decided to test it... his tests came up positive, he can delete adminium without being admin..

There are 10 kinds of people who understand binary.
Those who do.
And those that don't.

Rain, rain, go away,
THAT'S WHAT ALL THE HATERS SAY.
Hacks are getting worse in many games. In A game called Combatarms people had hacks developed that could crash you to your desktop and possibly cause serious damage to your computer.

I remember two people that came to my server once. Both of them could delete adminium. One of them gave me a link to it, which I ignored. I let them stay, as long as they didn't delete the adminium.

It is ALWAYS 3:00. Not 3:00 AM or 3:00 PM, just 3:00.

I disagree with you, therefore you are wrong.
Quality of output = Skill * Effort
****-headedness aside, this is very serious, wouldnt you think? I mean, flooding is a very serious matter on many servers, and without the op-exclusive block - Is there anything that can be done?
Also, spawnjails! There is no point in spawnjails!
It has something to do with the block hack, people can edit the code making them able to delete it.
I honestly had a quick glance at that post and thought you said
"It has something to do with the black , people"

Anyhow, this is the sort of thing that Notch should check on pronto. The fact that minecraft is this insecure is simply unacceptable, it is a coding flaw, and no offense to Notch, a coding fail.
It's a little unfair to blame Notch, wolfx. It's not coder fail, it's hacker win. If Notch improves the code, it just means a better hacker will be required to crack it.

Tree-block glitch? I havent heard about that one.
You fool! You should have stored the link and gave it to Notch for investigation.

yet
Contains Pachebel's Canon made with noteblocks, a working Rubik's cube made with pistons, and the ultimate TNT cannon.
Go tell Notch about that, but don't state how exactly it's done.
