I've been trying to get it up for days, and it will not go up
I can only connect through the 127.0.0.1 address thing when verify names is on false, and no one else can connect no matter what. I am running Vista with a BEFSR41 V3 Linksys Router. I have tried TONS of things, like IP changing, restarting, resetting internet, redownloading server stuff, running with different scripts, and so on, but it still won't work.
My Local Area Connection says there is a network cable unplugged, but when I check, there are no loose or unplugged cables.
Okay, I'll just wait and see if an update helps. I've literally tried everything to try to get it up. I even slathered my computer and router with peanut butter and toothpaste.
Well, my router only forwards the port to the computer with the IP 192.168.0.144 in my router's network, so in otherwards, only that computer can run servers and stuff.
This happened to me like 3 days ago. Just change it. My static IP(is that what it's called?) changed from 192.168.0.196 to 192.168.0.144
