Today I got my server working. Well - atleast it is there. I quickly realized I would need a map that is not randomly generated - preferably flatgrass - , and one of those scripts every server seems to have. I looked around these forums to a bit, and after being introduced to both Omen and Python, it dawned on me that I could not do this on my own.
I am truly lost here. Seriously, I have not got a clue to what I'm doing. But I am VERY willing to learn. So, if one of you great people out there could guide me through this, that would be very, very awesome. Keep in mind that I am learning from scratch here. The only thing I have done is actually getting my server to work. I have also downloaded Omen.
Read through it, and make sure you follow any instructions. You will need to download python, and create a .bat launching the script, and have the .txt's ready.
I have copyed the script (don't know where to put it), and I have the txt's placed in my minecraft-server folder. I am a little uncertain on how to make the script a .bat. Does this require alot of experience?

No it doesn't just make a .bat out of a .txt file, and make it say.
Thanks a lot Lg_Legacy. I got cmss working, but it seems that cmss clashes with my client (the new world of minecraft one.) On my client I get a black screen, while cmd tells me:
" Exception in thread "Thread-2" java.lang.OutofMemoryError: Java heap space
at java.util-Arrays.copyOf(Unknown Source)
at com.mojang.minecraft.level.Level.copyblocks(unknown Source)
at com.mojang.minecraft.server.minecraftServer.c(Unknown Source)
at com.mojang.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.run(unknown Source)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source) "
I should also note that I can log on to my server through my browser, although it doesn't recognize me as admin. Even when I use the url I am supposed to use.
Look, I know I'm not great (see: epic fail) at this, and this is probably something you would go ahead and snap your fingers at your computer to fix, but please bear with me. I really want to get this working, and I have the feeling you guys are a little helpful when it comes to stuff like this.

thats a memory error.... the WoM client uses more memory than the browser based one does. Java can only use so much memory before you get that.

Good luck.
There are SOOO many posts like this, though, that you shouldn't really post again. Search before asking.

You need to add yourself to the Admins and Controllers.txt files in order it to recognize you.

Yeah, I've figured as much. I've tried a RAM-optimizer, and didn't help. Is there any easy way to bypass this?
Modify the bat file(does WoM use one?) to boost the XmS stuff.
Quality of output = Skill * Effort
I have found sollutions to your problem
I had the same problem and found out that your map MUST be 256x256 size, then cMss works perfectly.
