Reference for Zuriki as-well, Forum Mod, helps alot, pretty sure op in alot of servers. Sense of Trustworthy? Medium. (I feel like i'm the terminator now >_> )
When you say medium you mean HIGH right. Riiiiight.... *nudge*
Only kidding :smile.gif:
But seriously... medium... what gives you the impression I might be slightly untrustworthy? Is it my silly attitude, or my laid-back nature?
It's the fact that i don't take you on trustworthy just because of a staff position, and also i don't really 'know' you. But i know inside you would make a good trusted op anyways.
Well, guess I'll pitch in, but I have a followup afterwards.
Name: Joe
Minecraft user name: PuyoDead
Servers you have run: I ran my own for a little while (skyworld ice world, lava world), and help with Reddit Public.
Approximate number of in-game hours as OP: No idea... quite a few (every day) since multiplayer hit...
Reference: *shrug* I play with a lot of folks, but I suppose you could ask about anyone on Reddit Public.
email: [email protected]
One thing about this list... either it needs to be tightly controlled, or some kind of back checking. It could go the same way the growing number of ops in a single server can. One person gets ops, then they op someone else, then that person does the same, etc. Eventually, we lose track of who is far down the branches, and problems start to pop up. I'm not saying we need to form some popularity contest of who's who, just make sure that any references trace back to known trustworthy folk.
The reason I say this is, I think this list would serve well as a "go to" point for people needing ops. As in, if someone just starting out wants to put up a server, but has no idea who to ask to help admin, they could check here instead of starting new topics or asking people they don't really know well. This could serve a double purpose, by having said people report if things went well, or not. So maybe we should also add contact info (email, IRC, whatever works), if that sounds like a passable idea.
Hm, perhaps if people reported problems with OPs listed under this "Global OP List" then they could be checked. If results turn out to be positive then they could be removed or marked for possible removal.
Obviously servers with verify-names turned of aren't trustworthy sources at all.
This list will probably be tightly controlled what with the referral system in place.

Reference for Puyo. One of the best OPs we have over at Reddit Public... Plays a lot, really puts a dampener on the griefing, and is very friendly with regular users. A real asset to the server. Thanks Puyo!

Yeah I think that a system for contact info is a great idea. (I should have thought of that! :tongue.gif:) From now on everyone add an email address to your applications. If you already applied just edit your post and I will put it up sometime tomorrow.
It may seem like it is very easy to get on this list right now but that's only because all the people so far, aside from Rob/Real :tongue.gif:, have been people that you see around a LOT. Seeing as I hope to get as many as 30-60 people on this list there will eventually be people that are not as well know as Zuriki, Alex or LG_Legacy. These are the people the referral system is really in place for.

Yeah this is also a really good idea. I'll get on this. :biggrin.gif:

I totally feel the love. And I will also vouch for AlLnAtuRalX being a spectacular server op/owner. We've got all the fancy toys (website, .dat repository, IRC link), and the server is super reliable. Always very cool with everyone, and fair to everyone who steps foot in there.
Eh, I think I would be eligible to go on the list. Here's my form.
