This is a heavily stripped and modified version of my standard custom server. It's sole purpose is to play the sport of Spleef. It can do nothing else. It is a server for playing Spleef, in maps designed only for Spleef by Super-Dot.
It does not know how to make water move, it does not know how to make sand fall, it does not allow building or saving maps, the map format isn't even compatible with the official server's server_level.dat format, and the number of commands for even the highest ranked of ops are very limited. It only plays Spleef, tries to detect hacks, and nothing else. If even this is too much for Notch for any reason, it will be removed without question.
I am distributing this in standalone Windows binary executable format. There is currently no native Linux release, but that is subject to change.
If all that is okay with you, and you want a server which can do nothing but enforce most of the rules of Spleef and try its best to detect and remove cheaters, then go ahead and download it from EchidnaTribe.org
Usually I program things in C with SDL and such and they run perfectly in WINE, but this is something entirely different... It may have issues due to needing to extract files to a temporary directory.
The entire set of commands that even the highest level admins can use: @, /help, /rules (things considered 'cheating' and misc.), /howto (how to play), /color (color codes are still there), /me, /say, /op, /deop, /kick, /ban, /banip, /unban.
The rules are pretty much exactly the same as standard Spleef: No building, once you fall you're out and can't break anymore either, the map automatically reloads to build stairs to let you get back up and clear the Spleef platform, no hacking. Exception (1) is not implemented, currently, but there is a 2 minute timeout so the game won't get held up forever from that.
I can't run it. It says "This application has failed to start because LIBEAY32.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." I downloaded the thing again, and it didn't work. I am on Windows Vista on a Toshiba with 2 GB RAM.

Please appreciate it.
Quality of output = Skill * Effort

Also, this server is protected against spoofing attempts, as is my standard custom server. Three failed logins and you're ip banned automatically.
EDIT: my bad it said "The ordinal 2996 could not be located in the dynamic link library LIBEAY32.dll."
