I am not allowed to open ports on my computer (I own the computer, but not the router), yet I still want to make maps for others to enjoy. I want them to be a custom size and I want to be able to use the map-editing software to do it. I cannot do either with single-player maps.
Thus, is there any way for me to create a sort of server that does not involve port forwarding and that is only accessible to me (a sort of single-player with server-type extras), so that I will be alone and able to create said maps at my leisure?
If you're still trying to get this to work, try running the server normally, without forwarding the port. Then go to http://www.minecraft.net/play.jsp?ip=12 ... port=25565. That should work, as a singleplayer that lets you save your map locally, edit it, and so on.

It's out of date, so ask someone to figure out how to dl it.

Yet if it is just a matter of modifying HTML, I just might want to poke around that…
I'm just too lazy to do that.
And tweak some HTML.
