I have made a public offline server for survival. (As i agree people even with non legit minecraft deserve a cool server :smile.gif: )But the one problem is, when i join it it lags so bad It's unbarable. Everyone else has that problem, but it's not my internet or hamachi, I have a feeling that it has something to do with bukket, but I'm not quite sure. Bukket is updated, the server is updated, everyone's minecraft is updated, everything is up-to-date. the servers start up works beyond perfect, and joining the server is doing good to. But it's after you are already join, you run into problems. I made sure that everything is set up, so it's something external. If anyone has any ideas, i need it soon.(Guys, don't ask me if you would like to join, as it is still under development, and will require you being in a white list, (You would be added after you had completed a form, and i have reviewed it and accepted it to keep out griefers, minges, and anyone annoying :tongue.gif:)
I'm helping one of my friends set up a server, and she can connect to it just fine, but I can't, for some reason... A message pops up saying "Failed to connect to the server. Connection timed out: connect"
If anyone knows how to fix this, please reply!
Have a problem. The server worked for me a week or more ago and now when I have my nephew try and join, the server says he lost connection. His client tells him that the connection was refused.
I port forwarded the ports and everything and made sure that it was seen as opened, but he still can't connect.
Can anyone help me with this?

I tested with my brother and for some reason, he can't connect as well. I checked 3 times to see if everything was still open and it was.

Everytime I open the server file with notepad this crap pops up :

My did the same when I first started it up. Have you tried to stop and type reload? However, if it continues just use Craftbukkit (at bukkit.org) and install using the "Advanced Method". This is the only way I found that works for me.
Have you rechecked your internet IP address (not your IPv4 address)? Unless you pay extra for a static IP address, it will change from time to time. Let me know.

Is one of you connected from the same house (same network) and another from somewhere else? There are different ways to login from each way.

Your lag is caused by three things:
1) Server Upload Speed (Download is irrelevant)
2) Processor speed (the more cores the better)
3) RAM
sry if this was asked already, but what do you do with an att router? i cant figure how to disable, and portforwarding dosent work.
Can you access the router through your internet browser? If so, login to it, then look anywhere for Forwarding (usually under advanced). Press Print Screen on your keyboard, open Paint, paste it in the Paint, save as a jpeg, upload to Photobucket or whatever, and copy a link to it. Then, paste that link on this forum and I'll tell you what to put where.
Sorry, but it's hard to diagnose without pictures.

I was over at her house at the time... I tried to connect to it while I was at my house and it still didn't work. I read on here that it might be the windows firewall, so we tried turning that off, but we couldn't figure it out! :/

My ISP always gives me a dynamic IP Address. I never had this problem until last week-end. I don't know if it's a micro$oft update or what that's causing it, but it's driving me nuts.

Life is a Learning Curve.... Unfortunately, you're stuck on the bottom...amongst the bones of the stupid.
Whenever I try and connect to my server via the link provided, nothing happens on the web page, but it says on the server log...
[INFO] Disconnecting /127.0.0.1:52311: Protocol error
[INFO] /127.0.0.1:52311 lost connection
And trying to connect by typing my I.P. address into the Minecraft Window will just state "java.net.SocketException: Network is Unreachable"
So if anyone can help me out here, I would greatly appreciate it!
