PS: litle warning everyone who is chancing internet options (port or NAT) be carefull becource chances can stop your internet workking i have tried severall times by my self.
i have perfectly no idea what to do if admins or someone have a team viewer or something it would be realy hellpfull.
My server is working for me and my only other friend with MineCraft is in Trinidad.
I am wondering if the reason it does not work for him is because he is in another country.
If any of you from United States want to test it, email me from my page. Or give me advice here.

"Which programs need I create exceptions for in Windows Firewall?"
I'm running a Minecraft Beta server via Hamachi (as I wish to keep my dynamic IP), but have had to disable Windows Firewall for public networks so my friends can connect (also using Hamachi, but reside in various other locations across the continent). If I enable the Windows Firewall for public networks, my friends cannot connect to the server, but if I disable the Windows Firewall for public networks, they can connect without issue. Therefore I deduce that Windows Firewall is obstructing my friends' communications with the server. I tried creating an exception for the server through the firewall, however this still doesn't work.
Are there additional programs I'll need to create exceptions for and where are they located on my hard drive (I'll need to be able to find them so I can add them to the exceptions list)?
I've tried Googling it, but every time I mention "Windows Firewall" in the search criteria my results are overwhelmingly useless, merely reviews telling me about Microsoft's firewall. Help would be greatly appreciated.
Until I can figure out which other programs I need to create exceptions for, I have to disable Windows Firewall for public networks to run the server :sad.gif:
I made a server so i could play online locally within my connection, tested yesterday and worked fine but today it doesn't work? It just says that it can't connect to the server and said 'connection refused: connect'. When I went on the url suggested it said 'can't connect the server is probably down'
By this does it mean the minecraft server or my server? If it is the minecraft server, does it often go down like this?
Seems like a bit of a pain in the ass
I have same problem as most of you guys. I'm pretty sure i've done everything right but you can only get onto my server if you are on either my desktop or laptop. Someone please help us!
When i try to log into my server, it says "Failed to connect to server. Connection refused: connect" My sister won't help me and this is my last resort.. SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!!! :sad.gif:
I didn't portforward, i have no idea how :tongue.gif: I asked my sister if she would do itbut she won't do it tonight and i want to play on my server lol, i guess we could get on teamviewer, do you need pasword and such?
I'll help. Just get teamviewer and PM me the info. The ID and pass thingy. I'll port forward for you. You just need to know your router model, username, and password.
I have the exact same problem
