hey guys i just figured out how to fix it. you must off your firewall and make sure that all your friends joining the server must have the updated version of hamachi
I'm having the same problem. I think you need to go to Control Panel--> Windows Firewall, and allow your Java, Minecraft Server, and Minecraft to public.
Bumpp please, I can't assume there is no solution to this problem I've done everything but my friend still can't connect to my hamachi server. I did everything with my firewall, also tried to turn it off and nothing changed :/

Some Questions:
1.) Do you have Java 6, or Java 7 installed? (Open command prompt, and type: java -version
2.) Which one did you let through your firewall? Tell us the binary you let through, and where it was located EXACTLY
3.) Which one do you use to start the server. If you don't know, then tell us HOW you start the server. If it's a batch file, then what's inside the batch file (right click, select edit to view)
4.) If you removed/turned off windows firewall, then do you have any other firewalls installed? Norton Antivirus is renown for blocking connections with it's intrusive setup. If you have another antivirus, let us know what you are using.
If your friends are connecting through the same network (let's say you play each next to the other at your home) they have to use your local ip adress to access the server, not the hamachi's IP !
To find your local ip adress in Windows, type "cmd" in the search/execute field. In this new window type "ipconfig /all" and search for your local ip adress. Give this one to your friends and enjoy

Make sure all the entries named "Java™ Platform SE binary" have a check mark in the boxes under "Public".
I got an account here for the sole purpose of thanking you. I've been so frustrated with this, having worked on it for nearly 2 hours. THANK YOU SO MUCH! (My hair follicles thank you as well. XD)

Note: I'm Too Lazy to Do Port Forwarding and Risk Getting Hacked.Oh. Btw I Could Access It Before I Installed Java 7
Even if u have hamachi, you still have to port forward. it allows people to connect to the server. as long as you only give the ip to your friends you wont get hacked.

I have tried all possible solutions and I cannot get my gf to join me via Hamachi. I have tried the :10 port stuff, as well as the updates, and other things. Anyone suggest a different method?
Ok. So, I just made an account to say that I found my own fix. I am not sure if it will work for anyone because I'm new at this. However, I just went into the eula.txt file and changed eula=TRUE instead of eula=FALSE. Suddenly I am able to host the server again.
So me and a friend got some issues I've never encountered before while trying to set up a server.
When he sets it up, I can't connect for some reason, though it works fine the other way around. I don't have the bandwidth to host it, so that won't really work for us..
We've tried different ports without any progress, different builds of Minecraft, the .exe server, the .jar server and bukkit, and I've poked holes in my firewall for the Java RE-files to come through.
His router is unable to do port forwarding, so that's sadly not an option.
He's not using any kind of proxy or VPN, so that's not it.
OS: Windows 7 32-bit (unsure if he's 32 or 64, but my dime is on 64)
Hamachi version: Latest (both of us)
I feel like I've tried everything I can, so I just hope you have some ideas on how to fix this.

You have to have some sort of configuration or software blocking your friend from accessing your hamachi server.
Common sources include windows firewall, virus protection utilities (Norton firewall for example) and many many others... If you want to get it working, you'll need to find out what's getting in the way first.

Both of us use AVG Free as AV, where the firewall is deactivated, and we've both poked holes in the Windows firewall for Mr. Java to come through. Here's the server output if it makes you any wiser.
We've tried to run the server on countless ports, without any progress, yet it somehow works when I run it.
ex. setver-ip=
it works
