So originally I tried installing millenaire manually by dropping the files into the mods folder manually since I was making a modpack. It sorta worked that way. I could get all the items and blocks and do normal stuff with them (except right clicking things with the negation wand made me crash) but nothing else worked. V didn't do anything, there were no messages on startup, and there were no villages to be found. Then I decided to try out the installer so I dragged all my other mod's files onto the desktop to keep them safe and created a new empty mods folder. Then it says I don't have forge installed or Millenaire6.0.0.zip in my downloads folder when I definitely do. It says "Please select the Forge zip archive." but whenever I download forge it comes out as .jar files. I'm not sure if that could be a problem or not. It's contradicting itself as well since it says "Found valid Millénaire archive: C:\Users\User\Downloads\Millenaire6.0.0.zip" in the action log. So I decide just to delete .minecraft completely and redownload everything. I use the 1.7.10 forge installer and then try the Millenaire installer again. I'm getting the same errors on the installer like before. I don't know what to do and it's really frustrating. Anyone have any idea on why it's acting this way?
Do you have version numbered folders in your mods folder (1.7.10, 1.8, etc.)? I had a similar problem when doing a manual install, and the problem was that you have to put the millenaire jar file into the numbered folder, but the folders included in the millenaire zip file (millenaire and millenaire-custom) have to put in the mods folder. Not in the 1.7.10 folder.
If that doesn't make sense, I can provide a screenshot of where all my files are in the mods folder.

That worked! All the tutorials I looked at didn't do that for some reason. Thank you!
Hi so I'm a bit late but anyways this didn't work for me. I don't have any numbered folders in my mods folder and the mod website says it's supposed to download as a folder, but I'm getting a file instead. When I load the mod in minecraft I have the items and everything from the millenaire mod but I can't press ''v'' or "m" to view nearby villages or the menu, but the structures still appear without the villagers.
