I tried redeeming the code, I clicked the redeem button then clicked it again on the Microsoft billing page. It took me to a new tab and opened the store up. It was still 9.99 I couldn't download it. So I tried it again, and this time the redeem button was grayed out and I couldn't click it It said already redeemed but I haven't got a download from the store app or store in browser
I am also receiving the "already redeemed" message. It is not on my Microsoft account list of recent purches history. was hoping to see the account it was redeemed to, I only have one Microsoft account for my xbox and PC :c

I did notice Firefox doesn't work with the store and the store site kept on crashing . If you didn't get you free copy , Kiss the Free offer good bye . No one at Microsoft's going to take the time to fix it .Price just went from 9.99 to 11.99 . I have to laugh There is no cents in Canada anymore . Every purchase gets rounded . If you login to https://account.mojang.com/ please look under "Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta" and check to make sure that the code is marked as claimed. You can make sure it is by checking the date that it was redeemed on.
If the item is not listed, you should contact Mojang support and they will assist you on the issue.
If it is listed, then that means you successfully redeemed the code to a Microsoft account. When you did so, you were asked to login to a Microsoft account. This was the account that you redeemed the code to.
Please go over to https://account.microsoft.com/ and check under the "Recent purchaces" header and check if "Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta" is listed. If it is not, you are using the wrong Microsoft account.
If you're not sure which account you used, you should contact Xbox support (for Step 1, use "Xbox on Windows 10"; for Step 2 under Store select "Purchase verification"; and you should be able to call/chat with Xbox support) and let them know you are unsure which account you redeemed the code to.

lol I followed the instructions and it said I would be playing the game in a jiffy...and I am not. I take it they don't even follow there own instructions to test them because they simply do not work. I have a code, it says the game is in my recent purchases but no download link! Err I'm confused I thought this was supposed to be easy, and by the looks of it I am not the only one who is having difficulty. So when they eventually get it sorted where will we be looking for the download link? Let's see if they can get that one right shall we.
This is an unrelated issue. You may download the game if you have a PC running Windows 10.
Open the Windows Store app on Windows 10 and search for "Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition" and locate the game. You can then press the install button to play the game.

Mojang support may only assist with issues with you getting the code. They cannot help with moving the transaction or giving you another code.
You should instead contact Xbox support here and they will tell you if this is possible - https://support.xbox.com/en-US/contact-us (for Step 1, use "Xbox on Windows 10"; for Step 2 under Store select "Purchase verification"; and you should be able to call/chat with Xbox support).
I have the same account, bought-history shows Minecraft Wndows 10 edition 0,00€, but no way to download. Anyone figured out how to fix? Mojang Support just keeps having a bot to speak to me that just takes me to Microsoft's home page so that doesn't work.

Exact same problem as @ElGringoPanda. I have two Microsoft accounts one for Xbox and one for PC. I redeemed the code on my Xbox-Microsoft account and so I can't download it on the PC-Microsoft account. I contacted Microsoft, Xbox and Mojang support about this but none have been able to help me so far.
Microsoft told me that Mojang has to give a new code and they will deactivate the old one.
But when I contacted Mojang they sad this 'I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with the Windows 10 Edition of Minecraft. Code redemptions and purchases are made through the Windows Store, and help is provided by Xbox Support. You can contact Xbox Support by visiting https://support.xbox.com/en-US/contact-us?NavigationPath=/en-US/xbox-on-windows/game-titles/minecraft-windows-10-edition-beta-faq'. So I contacted Xbox support about this but they told me that this is a problem Mojang has to deal with frist because they have the game codes.
I have no clue what to do now.

You can log out of the Windows store and login with the account you redeemed the code to. You should let Mojang support if you haven't already explaining what Xbox support told you.
after contacting customer support they told me that it dosent always come up under recent purchases but they where able to tell me which of my accounts the key was bound to!
Well, It seems that I had that exact same problem where I had the code redeemed and It showed up in the recent purchases history, but just go to the store and click on the $9.99 price tag and it will ask you to log into your account and then it will realize your code has been verified and then it'll start downloading
I had a desktop computer that I got it for, but then that computer broke down so i got a new computer, and it wont let me use the code, I'm signed in to the same Microsoft account, please help!

OMG, I finally got mine to work. What I did, I downloaded the trail and played that for a bit. I'm not sure how long afterwards you have to wait in order to get it to work, but today I clicked on the "9.99" button. Once I logged into my account, it went through just fine saying it has been downloaded already (cause I got the trail). Check my bank, no pending 10.00 anywhere.
Nothing in my xbox nor regular account says trail, even in the store. I hope this helps others out and works!!

Once you've do that, check to see if you can Install the game. If not, close the store and re-open it.

A lot of people that tried to redeem codes with their old logon credentials , player name and password , ie no email address . Your free game is lost in limbo and neither Mojang or Microsoft are going to help . Players on another Persons computer , ( Microsoft online Account ) , when they tried to redeem their free game , Your game is now tied to that persons Microsoft online account , good luck trying to fix that problem . If your Mojang logon creditials are being used by other people , your free game is now tied to one of those persons computers . In all these situations neither Mojang or Microsoft is going to be of any great help . The 3 people I tried to help , investing hours of my time talking to Microsoft , got no where !!! .
I found it cheaper to buy the 3 people , "Minecraft for Windows 10" , than to spend another second talking to another Microsoft Tech support staff . Total waste of time !!!!!

Are you sure you're logging into the Windows Store with the account that you redeemed the code to?
Login and go to https://account.microsoft.com/ -- do you see "Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta" listed under "Recent purchases"?
Go to the Windows Store and at the upper right, press the profile image. Does the email match the Microsoft account you redeemed Minecraft to?
Also, have you set up an Xbox gamertag? You can do so by opening the Xbox app and going through your profile
