I am currently having trouble trying to get my minecraft Xbox 360 to my Xbox One, it freezes once it starts to turn the world into data the Xbox may read . I'm not sure if it is to do with me having a digital download on the Xbox One or possibly something I'm not aware of, I came here hoping that one of you are generous enough to help me out. I should also mention that I can download other worlds but this particular world, I hope that it is not corrupted.
open your 360 world and play in it for a while, then save. then delete file off your cloud.. then re-copy onto your cloud, then go to your Xb1 and try again.
Same sad story, bought an xbox one just for server world and after months of work on the latest world got an update and all my worlds are gone.
I know you said to open a ticket with ms and I did and after 1.5 hours they sent me to this forum for support...(?)
Is there a good/better way to open these tickets?
At this point, our worlds are gone (probably 20+) and we can't start new ones :-(
We factory refreshed/deleted profiles/whatever you could think of and no go, all the worlds are gone and worse yet the account won't sync at all so any new worlds probably wouldn't be saved either.
Other games work and syn ok on this account and it's exhibiting the same issue across 5 (yes 5) different consoles...
Like others reporting, this issue has been happening for a while 'We couldn't get your latest saved data' but after an update that deleted all the data on the console nothing can be gotten back (at least so far).
Is there anything/list/faq etc. that has things to try? (honestly we pretty much tried the nuke options to no avail and like I said, they sent me here after exhausting their options.)
A few months ago my main XB minecraft account got corrupted and I have been unable to get to those worlds or get minecraft to work, apart from offline, for that account. Went through the various options with MS XB support who were instantly accessible and helpful, Tried another console, resetting console to factiry settings. Total full reset, Nothing changed the fact that the cloud save and hence the worlds was inaccessible. ONLY solution was to create a new XB account. This worked on the console, Sync'd fine. Create a new world and away I went again. Only a couple of buckets of tears for all the years of development lost.
Last night, game crashed. Stuck on save screen. 15 minutes later still on save screen. Reset the XB. On loading - unable to sync. In fact unable to do anything apart from get to the main menu of the game. So again with MS XB support. Tried all the various options and same result. I can play offline only.
From reading the above comments it looks like this is a serious weakness in the method of the clouding saving of the minecraft game. It seems to bundle all the saves into a single entity which if corrupted stops the entire cloud save system from being accessible.
Reading on the PS4 boards it looks like there are similar instances there also so this is a game problem not a system problem.
I had made copies of my world under the same account on the theory that if one of them did get corrupted I could go back to a previous one but it seems the cloud save is an all or nothing system. I dont have any other games on this machine to know if it would have effected them. My feeling is no as this is a purely Minecraft thing.
So does anyone know of a solution. How can any of us get our old worlds back? Can other worlds, not just the presumably, corrupted one, be recovered? Are 4J working on developing cloud save to be more robust/user friendly so that we can see what is cloud backed up and idealy have versioning as an option so you could see or go back to previous versions?
Has anyone used a hard drive as a back up for their games on an XBOX one and if you do can you make copies there to recover from?
At the moment, I'm leaving the XB alone and am going to start another world on my PS4. See how far that gets me..however I read that they have had the same issues with cloud saves and loss of worlds.
This is a system issue - It's far more prevalent on Minecraft however due to the sheer size of the save files (As far as I'm aware no other game comes even remotely close to our saves)
The game makes a call for the Cloud save to occur and then the backend takes over.

So its a know 'feature' of the xbox one cloud save.
Is there anyway to recover from the corruption once is has happened. Is it a single world backup that has gone wrong so the other are recoverable? Are the other worlds recoverable full stop?
If this is a permanent method then what you are saying is that it is actually better for minecraft, to turn cloud saves off and save once a week or once a day. As being constantly on is just a risk of losing ALL ones work at any time there is a network interruption?
Could not the design of the saves be done in such a way that if one of the worlds is corrupt or not accessible then it skips to the next one so that it at least makes the 'copy world' function have a use?
What about having a feature where you can export the worlds to an external hard drive/USB flash drive. I appreciate that this is against Microsoft/Xbox poilcy to stop cheating/hacking of saves but 4J contract to Mojang who are owned by Microsoft and Minecraft is one of the biggest games there is. Surely there is some sway there. Also for Minecraft, modifications dont really matter, if anything on the PC there are encouraged.
Particarly if the requirement for this is the size of the backups....
Does this cloud save issue also effect the PS4? again due to size of backups?
Thanks.
Only the platform team could give you any information regarding the goings on with the cloud saving.
PS4 deals with saves differently to XB1.

My problem is extremely high impact, and has made Minecraft unplayable. When I try to sync an old map (172.8 mb) it syncs about 40% of what I've made and fills the rest in with random terrain, and shows up as a 120-130 mb size map (I've done this several times). Then if I go into that map, it cuts off my ability to access my xbox home menu or any other applications! I have to hard restart my console every time. I have spent countless hours on a map I can no longer use. I'm not a little bit happy about this.

my xbox one just became SUPER SLOWED DOWN and nearly non-responsive and the help person told me to do a factory reset so i did... came back to minecraft better together version and reuploaded a save via the sync... and lost over 3 weeks worth of stuff... its so unfair... i had to use a freakin sunflower to aid me in finding a forest mansion because someone decided that "map coordinates" should only be given to those who DON'T WANT ACHEIVEMENTS... its just not fair... all my hard work... 10+ auto-farms gone, 3 stacks of diamond blocks gone, full diamond armor of lvl 4 lava protection gone... thanks, thanks a lot...
The second is the save syncing process stopping for no reason and returning to the Save game menu
If you have you have seen this issue could you screenshot the save game menu (Make sure the save is selected so I can see a rough save size)
I was at home working on my world and dropped 16 hours on it building a new section. I then go to my cousins house and download Minecraft. When I snyc the world I was working it only loaded up until before my 16 binge I did. I would really like to finish it but unable too. What is the problem?
I am having issues uploading to Xbox one. Looking all over for help. I have tried uploading from internal storage and cloud from my 360 to One. It says upload complete.
I go on One, try to sync and nothing shows.
Am I doing something wrong our missing something here? Should I or should I not have both systems running as I do this? I have tried both options.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to email me.
Any news on the sync issues? Its bee 10 months since i have been able to play MC on one of my 2 gamertags.

Choras_Den thank you, I was able to get my world, I hope you a great year. 🤘
We couldn't get your latest save data.
All of a sudden, I can't load up my world. Dozens of people have put in hundreds of hours. Ridiculous.
