My son can only play Minecraft on Xbox 360 live. Our actual disc will not play in our older original Xbox. He now is watching youtube videos and wants to add mods to the game. Can he do this on the Xbox live version? or is this something that can only be done on the PC version? I am confused and need any advice or help in the right direction. I tried Xbox support but they were basically clueless as to what I was talking about.
Microsoft do not allow modifications to their systems or the games that are on them. So unfourtantly you will need to purchace another copy for the PC at minecraft.net
Mods on the Xbox 360 are not permitted by Microsoft. It is against there CoC (Code of Conduct). Mods for Minecraft are PC only, such as TMI or Optifine. There are some mods for the 360 version, but it mainly includes custom textures, sky colors, and spawning "illegal" items
