help?
Don't press B. Press start to confirm your text as being entered.
yes i press the done after typing and it shows up in the box after that but when i go back then press more options again it's not in the box anymore.
It should stay put once you activate "Done" (by hitting the "start" button on your controller) on the typing in screen and take you automatically back to the main load screen where you can then select your texture pack, etc. There have been some issues reported by people on other forums associated with people using mods that are not approved by Microsoft. If you are in that sort of circumstance, you'll have to post your question on a forum that allows discussion of mods and modding issues on the Xbox. This forum forbids that.

it doesn't take me back to the main screen when pressing "start" it just goes back to the options screen. Also, I'm not using a mod, I bought the game from the xbox game downloads. no mods at all

Here is what I do step by step:
Select "Create New World" under "Start Game" menu. Highlight "Seed for the World Generator" button and Press "A" to select it. Dialogue box opens "Input the seed for your world generation" Using the left and right buttons as directed, type in seed desired. Highlight the "Done" box on the screen and press "A" to select it OR press the "Start" button 0n the controller (just to the right of the big centre "X" button on your controller). Game returns you automatically to screen that starts with "World Name." The box entitled "Seed for the World Generator" should now show what you've typed. Scroll down to select game mode (Survival or Creative); Difficulty (Peaceful, Easy, Normal, or Hard), etc. and the scroll to the bottom to highlight "Create New World" button. Once highlighted, press "A" to create your world.
Note: Once you create a world, the seed displayed will be converted to numbers only. Typing in the number sequence displayed will generate the same world as whatever words you originally typed in. This is how it is supposed to work.
"A world's seed is set when that world is created. By default, it is decided automatically (if so, the game uses the system time as the seed), but it can also be set manually. Set and reuse a seed to replay that world, or use a known seed to play the same world as another player. Either a number or a word/phrase can be used, including negatives. If a word/phrase is used it will be converted into a number."
yea mine doesn't do that for some reason. when pressing done it just goes back to the options starting with the box that you put the seed numbers in and not the screen that has the texture packs and difficulty settings. they're on seperated pages, so going back is the only way to get back to the main screen with the create new world button and the seed disappears when i go back. i tried downloading the game again but it didn't help

All I can suggest is that you report it on the Official Bugs Thread:
The exact same thing is happening to me. I can't put in any seeds since the newer updates came out. Whenever I press start on my remote while in more world options it just selects the thing that my cursor is over.
This is what I have noticed (not sure if this solves prob or not)
After pressing B to exit the options area, if you choose to create new world, it will create it with that seed. If you go back into where the seed is inputted, it "restarts" the options where you will have to input the seed again
help?

I'm having the same exact problem :/
The exact same thing is happening to me. I can't put in any seeds since the newer updates came out. Whenever I press start on my remote while in more world options it just selects the thing that my cursor is over.
