Ever since the new update i have been having probkems with animals. One i cant breed them which seems to be a problem a lot of people are having and people are saying it is a animal cap and that they have too many animals but i only have 32 sheep 3 cows, 1 pig and about 8 chickens (no problems breeding chickens btw). I had 4 pigs when the update came out but then all of a sudden 3 of my pigs just disappeared.
The thing is is that no matter how far i go or where i look there are zero wild animals on my map! There is maybe a random chicken and some wolves but absolutely no cows pigs or sheep anywhere.
I cant seem to find any other topics on this problem.
Breeding issue - This is most likely that the animal cap limit has been reached. If the animals are all confined to a small area, the limit seems to be about 35 animals. If your pens are spread out a bit, it seems to be around 48 to 50 animals. I say this because in one world I have, my breeding abilities stop at 35 animals and in the other at 50.
The spawning of wild animals in my worlds has also slowed considerably. 4J has apparently reduced the spawn rate of wild animals in the TU9 update (per the request of several users who wanted it reduced because they felt there were too many animals in the world in general). I personally enjoyed the higher spawn rates; but the others wanted it this way to validate a need for breeding.
