Recently I've started a single-player modded world.
Mod after mod and fix after fix, I've been fine.
But starting the other day, my game would lose connection.
My game wouldn't crash, but I'd lose the ability to do anything. I can't open chests, I can't hit animals, animals won't move, I can't use items that require you to right-click, I can't trade with villagers, and I just get stuck in elytra fly mode on the ground. I can still break blocks, but they don't drop anything. It's like my ping goes to 99999 automatically. I have about 87 mods installed and I've been fine, but now this is starting to happen. When I click 'save and quit to title', it will go onto the saving world screen and stay there. The only way I can close Minecraft from that point is to force quit it.
Extra Info:
- I use a 2011 mac that generally isn't meant for gaming but I've managed pretty decently with average FPS (sometimes I go low with 12 - 20 FPS and sometimes I'm in the range of 50 - 100 FPS) and 87 mods so that's not the problem.
- I have 32GB of memory installed on the computer.
- I don't know computer terms so try to explain possible issues in a way that I'll understand. (I know basic things like RAM, CPU, and that stuff).
- 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5 Processor (tbh, I don't know how any of this fancy computer stuff has anything to do with my problem but it's worth adding).
- AMD Radeon HD 6770M 512 MB graphics thingy.
- I was having a lag issue where my game would freeze in like 3-second intervals that would last for 5 seconds each freeze. Someone (I think it was on this forum) said that I should change the number in -Xmx1G on the JVM Arguments in my launcher to half the GBs of RAM my computer has. Putting 16GBs seemed a bit much to me so I changed -Xmx1G to -Xmx4G.
- I use Forge mods and my launcher is the typical Minecraft launcher.
- I only play the 1.16.5 version of Minecraft.
I don't have crash reports on the issue because my game never actually crashed in all these situations. I have to force quit Minecraft which leads to an 'exit code 9'. I'll add a list of the mods I use (keep in mind all the mods have worked perfectly fine for me until now). I tried adding the log file but it wouldn't load. At some point in the log it said, "Can't keep up! Is the server overloaded? Running 10723ms or 214 ticks behind" but I don't know what that could be about.
I think I'd have to create a new backup to do that (which I don't know how to do). My old backup is far too old and I've taken a lot of time to progress from there. I think even know where to create, access, and open a backup of a world. Could you please help me?
Figured out how to backup the world just now. I'm still having the same exact problem on the backup world. Is there any more information or pictures I can show you to make my problem easier to fix? I rlly love this world ;-;
No, for some reason it doesn't happen. It doesn't even happen on the creative world where I test all my builds. Just on the survival world I made and its backup.

Restore the world from backup.

Does it happen on a newly created world?
