I recently bought an asus laptop with an integrated and dedicated gpu however I have been unable to successfully run the game using the dedicated gpu. No matter what it defaults to the integrated or simply crashes. I've tried most major fixes that I've seen online but none seem to work.
I've tried the graphics performance preference fix which did not work. I saw online that other people were using AMD's radeon service software to switch which gpu was used and tried installing that to see if it would work. Installing it caused minecraft to crash completely. I also tried forcing minecraft to use it by disabling the integrated gpu but that only crashed minecraft as well.
It uses the gpu for other games just fine so it's not a hardware problem right?
I copy and pasted the dxdiag information that I think is relevant below.
It has a Radeon RX 560X
Thanks for the help!

You need to specify which graphics card should Java run on in AMDs settings.
My laptop doesn't come with the amd tools to specify graphics cards. When I tried downloading it Minecraft broke completely
