Last week we were able to log into Minecraft fine. However my daughter went to play today, and was unable to log in. We automatically thought that the email or password were wrong, but checked several times and all were good. Next we tried resetting the password, but after following all the links/guides/help(??!) from Minecraft and Microsoft, we did not receive an email link to reset the password.
This to me suggests that the account has been hacked. However I havent had an email to say that the email address has changed against the account. Surely if someone changed email addresses on a hacked account a ping would go off to the old email saying this was taking place?
Anyway, we have logged a ticket, but many days have passed without hearing anything. Can anyone give us an idea of how long a ticket takes to be responded to? For what is I consider a breach of security, I would have thought that they would help a lot quicker than they have.
I have a daughter unable to play her game, and no idea if our ticket is being looked into. I think this is a very poor state of affairs for such a well respected game.
I would appreciate any responses to this if you have had similar experiences, and how long it took to resolve.
Exactly! They need to sometimes speed up things. Same happened to me, but mojang took like a week to reply. Usually, if the account is new, it takes longer for the ticket to get logged, scince the account needs to be in the server for longer.
I am at my wits end with this. I cannot believe that they take so long to respond, and you have no way to know if your ticket has even been logged. I have a daughter that cannot play her favourite game, which she has played for years, and I cannot bring myself to tell her that it could be a month before we hear anything. I wish there was a way to complain about this terrible customer service. Seriously, in every other game or account situation, if an account has been hacked it is treated with the utmost urgency. Not here.
mate, you know that with how many players they have, they're gonna have a lot of delay. they will treat the situation like any other game as you said, but remember, whoever they're currently dealing with also has had to wait a month. patience is key, buddy.

Wait for Mojang to reply, they do still seem to have a backlog so may be a month or so, patience is required as only Mojang can help you
