Ever since yesterday, I haven't been able to login to public servers such as hypixel, mineplex or anything like that, as an error message appears stating the words "Failed to log in: The authentication servers are currently down for maintenance." On a separate computer however, I accidentally left my computer on and saw that people were joining the game. I wondered to myself, if the authentication servers are down, then how are people joining? I don't know what the problem is, but I was looking on some other forums and saw that it had to do with MCLeaks. Is there anyway to fix this problem? It's happening on both of my computers.
Remove MCLeaks, run a full virus scan, run a maleware scan, change your Minecraft password and any other passwords that maybe the same as your Minecraft one as MCLeaks will have stolen it, shame on you for using illegal software to access stolen accounts and clean your HOSTS file by removing any lines related to Mojang.
To edit your Host file, do the following:
Go to the Start Menu and locate Notepad. Right click Notepad and select "Run as Administrator"
Click on File, then Open. Enter %SystemRoot%\System32\drivers\etc\hosts as the "File name" and click "Open".
