I've been looking for ways that I can boost my FPS in Minecraft, and I saw that changing the chunk loading option in Optifine to multicore will incorporate other CPU cores into chunk loading, which I thought would be perfect as chunk loading is what my PC especially struggles with at the moment and I have a CPU with multiple cores.

But I can't find it, I've gone through the options multiple times and I can't find it. I'm using Optifine Ultra so it should be there, but it is nowhere to be found! What I find most annoying is that there is nothing on the internet covering this issue, which makes me think that I am missing something. However I am at a loss to what I might be missing because I am on the latest version of OptiFine (F5)
Can someone please give me some insight into what I am missing or what might be going wrong.
This was removed in 1.8 because multicore chunk loading (or rather, rendering, as chunk "loading" refers to loading chunks from disk, which is not affected by any of Optifine's settings) was implemented in vanilla, rendering Optifine's setting pointless, though they could have implemented the other settings (my old computer ran best with the "smooth" chunk loading option, while multicore would cause reduced FPS and stuttering, as did vanilla 1.8+, likely because it only had a dual-core CPU, so the client and server threads were already using as many cores as available).

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
