I'm having an issue with Minecraft which is preventing me from playing.
I am able to go up to the "Select World" screen... but when I try to create a new world, or load a existing one, the game freezes and the window says Minecraft 1.15.2 (Not responding).
I've tried everything I could... I've uninstalled Java, I've deleted the whole minecraft folders (both on AppData and Program Files), update my graphic card driver, did a fresh install of Minecraft and the problem persists.
When using the current version 1.15.2, it will show the loading world animation, go up to 100% and then freeze and say not responding.
When trying older installations like 1.12.2 or 1.13 it will freeze right after trying to load the world.
Ah, I've also tried to tweak the video configurations to see if it helped but no luck...

I think I see your problem, you've done run out of ram bringing your computer to a crawl. Trying closing any other extra applications (like firefox is sucking up almost a gig which closing would help a lot).
Short of getting more ram for yourself, I'd try using optifine as well

For the 1.15.2 version, click on the preview builds at the top of the downloads page.
That doesn't seem to be the case since I was running it just fine some months ago. I've also tried closing everything and allocating more RAM for minecraft as explained here and the same problem happened. That being said, I'll try to install optifine as you suggested and also put some more RAM into this PC!
This was kinda scary.... it found 1 threat and 55 PUP's. I've quarantined everything and then deleted. But it didn't seem to help with the issue too... if you wanna see the report I've posted here: https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/BRnsbqtJ9P/

Although I don't think this is really a virus (it's a normal security process for my bank's app), I ran Free Fixer and then deleted this program and the files. The process is no longer running. Yet my problems with Minecraft persist. :'(

Please help me, what else should I do?

Run a scan with adwcleaner.

Post a HijackThis log.
Download it here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/hjt/files/2.0.5 beta/HijackThis.exe/download
Run HijackThis as Administrator, click on "I accept", then "Do a system scan and save a log file".
Then a text file will open. Copy everything, then paste it on https://paste.ubuntu.com and give us the link.
While it does sound scary, it does not give us any personal or sensitive information.
Thanks, Conor!

Hi there, people. So, did you see anything suspicious?
Virus Found!
File: "C:\Program Files (x86)\scpbrad\scpbradguard.exe" is infected with "virus.win32.sality.am" virus!
See this: https://www.freefixer.com/library/file/scpbradguard.exe-246320/

Hello my friends, any other ideas why this keeps happening?
Juts giving you guys some feedback, I uninstalled java and minecraft again, and then uninstalled some other software I thought might be interfering.
After that, I reinstalled minecraft but DIDN'T install a standalone version of Java.... I just used the one that comes with minecraft.
IT WORKED!
I don't know exactly what solved it, but it's working great now!
Should I still install Java?
