Hello, I have been struggling the last two days to connect to my friend's realm. I've never had a connection issue before like this.. I get this error every time I join:
internal exception java.io.ioexception an existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host
My friend and another person on the MC discord server have the same issue with no fix yet..
I have reset my router, reinstalled MC (didn't think it would do anything but just in case), disabled Norton, port-forwarded, created a rule in windows firewall to allow the ports under TCP and UTP, allowed java binary under Domain, Private, and Public. I'm at a total loss. Any help would be appreciated! I found someone else's post with this issue and tried to comment but someone deleted my reply for some reason. Here is my speed test if that matters (was requested in that other thread)
Still awaiting any help on this. I don't believe it's my internet that is causing the issue, but here is a ping and traceroute i ran to minecraft.net. I'm not sure how to ping our realm specifically since you aren't given an IP for it.. Just this afternoon I was able to play on the realm for an hour before the realm rebooted for maintenance and of course, I can't get back in...
That's what I mean. How are we, as players having issues, supposed to fix said issues when Mojang won't take any responsibility for the issues and help us. They just send us to the community who obviously don't have the resources or access to everything Mojang/Microsoft do. I appreciate you guys trying to help and am not upset with any of you. I am thoroughly disappointed in Mojang's lack of customer support as my friends and I just wanted to play on a realm together. Thanks again
