I’m a Minecraft user since 2017. I play on a laptop. At the time that I got Minecraft, it was a dell laptop, latest model. I ran Minecraft for about a year, used about 30 min daily. No crazy farms, lag creators, or insane amounts of entities. I mostly just played servers (hypixel). I also had horrible FPS (averaging 8fps, regularly going to 0) During that year, my computer started to deteriorate. after a year, it was so bad, I got my hard drive replaced and uninstalled Minecraft. That brought my computer up to peak performance speed. In early 2019, I tried to get Minecraft again. I used it for the same amount of time, and only played servers. But after a week, it became slower than ever before and I had to “uninstall” Minecraft. Me being not smart, I still had the .minecraft file and the launcher. Weirdly, it got better. My computer was better. Now if I play Minecraft, it works fine, but still have FPS problems. I am too scared to run Minecraft anymore even thought it works.
does anybody know why Minecraft wrecked my computer? Please tell me if you also have a similar problem.
post a dxdiag log so we can see the computers specs also a HJT log so we can see what else maybe running along in the background
Press the Win+R keys, and type "dxdiag" (no quotes) in the box. Press enter. If prompted about verifying WHQL, select Yes. Once it has finished loading, click the "Save All Information" button and save it to your desktop.
Open the file you just saved, and copy the contents. Paste them on https://paste.ubuntu.com and click Submit. Then, copy the link in your browser's address bar and paste it back here.
