I bought early 2011 and I recently had an urge to play it again, problem is with all the account migration stuff it seems like I don't own Minecraft anymore. As far as I know I migrated my account successfully but it is telling me I have to purchase the game again. I already sent a support ticket out but it was like 14 days ago so I doubt they're going to do anything in a timely manner, if at all.
I was mostly just wondering if anyone has had this problem and was able to fix it?
If you did migrate your account you need to use your email address as your username when logging in.
If the account isn't migrated you would use your username, and then I think it would tell you that you need to migrate.
Where are you getting the message that you need to purchase the game?
When downloading at minecraft.net?
In the launcher when starting the game?
You can download the game without Mojang thinking you own it, it's a bit hard to find but if you look around there is a link for downloading the demo, that's the full game you just have to have logged in to an account that is marked as owning the game to play more than 20 minutes (?) at a time.
You have to be logged in to the launcher.
You aren't confusing the Win-10 edition for the Java version?
Though having bought the Java version so early you should also own the Win-10 edition, not sure if you need to claim it at minecraft.net before you can play it.
I just downloaded the demo and it is telling me I need to purchase the game as well. It is telling me I need to purchase it on the website when I log in to my account as well.
I'm 100% it is the Java Version I bought because Windows 10 version wasn't even a thing at the time. I appreciate the help though.

You're logging in to the wrong account.
