Hi, I am trying to install shaders on my computer, but optifine immediately brings my fps from 150+ to around 50-60. I have an Intel Core i7 9750H and a GTX 1160 TI. Is there a certain setting on optifine that can dramatically reduce lag? Keep in mind I haven't even installed shaders yet, but I would expect an even more decrease in FPS if I did. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Thank you so much for that link. Turns out optifine was trying to use some other graphics to power minecraft. Switched it to my NVIDIA graphics card and everything is normal now.

No, turns out java was using your integrated graphics card. Don't blame this on optifine.

Post a screenshot with F3 enabled and your JVM arguments.
Post a screenshot with F3 enabled in the game.
First one with optifine, second one without. Both from same angle.
