Hello. I recently assembled a new gaming pc with the following specs:
CPU: Intel i9 9900K
MOBO: ASUS ROG STRIX Z390 Motherboard
RAM: 32GB of RAM running at 3000MHz.
GPU: ASUS ROG STRIX RTX 2080 Super
Cooler (if it does really matter): Corsair h110i
One 500GB M.2 NVME SSD.
One 4TB HDD.
With such specs I thought that I could run Minecraft with SEUS PTGI E9 shaders at 60fps, it does, but it suffers of heavy frame drops when in open area. Changing shader's raytracing settings did nothing, low or extreme had the same result.
Even worse, running non-raytraced shaders such as the Chocapic v13 or the Continuum 2.0 had even worse results! Not even hitting 20fps.
What I tried to do:
Lower the Chunk render distance. Result: Doesen't affect anything
Turning off VSync. Result: Higherframerate but drops after a while.
Allocating more RAM to Minecraft. Result: Nothing but I can play with 64 render distance.
Using different shaders pack (stated before). Result: FPS not even hitting 20.
I saw other people complaining about the game running like garbage on thier very powerful rigs, and I read that it could be a Java issue since minecraft does not have a 3D engine but it runs on a programming language.
Well here I am, wondering why my game sucks so much. I saw tons of youtubers running my same shaders with crazy 2048x2048 resource packs, getting stable 60fps on 4K resolution, meanwhile I'm here, playing like on my old laptop with constant framedrops on 1080p with vanilla textures.
I'll upload my settings down below, thanks everyone that will be so kind to help me out!
