I'm playing in 1.14.4, in a new Survival World at Normal difficulty, generated in 1.14.4, with 'Amplified' biomes.
Basically... in River biomes, Salmon and Squids spawn like crazy. I can hunt for fish and black ink as much as I want, they always come back.
But, in Forest and Plains, the animals I've hunted have never returned. In a Plains biome, one area had a herd of horses, and some pigs/sheep/chickens that I hunted a bit, assuming they'd respawn. Now that area is completely dead, and no animals have returned.
I'm now literally having to travel to other biomes to go find new animals to bring back to breed if I want to farm.
Is this a problem? Or is this new Minecraft friendly mob behavior?
is there anything I can do to restart that spawning?

Thanks in advance.
That's how it always worked since minecraft 1.0.
