I just bought minecraft (legally) a week ago to play on my macbook pro late 2015. But when i try to open it nothing happens. i do have Java installed but for some reason its java 6 instead of 8. but that's not the main problem. I do miss the java file in my minecraft folder but i don't know how to get it. I tried a lot of things, from redownloading to putting random stuff people tell me to put in the terminal but nothing worked.
The only thing that worked was installing an old launcher and open it by clicking the Bootstrap.jar file in the contents>resources>java folder.
