To explain, I was playing Minecraft with my siblings on LAN when my computer crashed. This means that the level.dat file is corrupted, so I followed guides online which told me to delete the level.dat file and rename the level.dat_old file to level.dat (This was after making a back up of the corrupted world).
Then, I went into the world and it was exactly what it used to be (but 6 minutes before the crash). I was in the right spot, I had my stuff in my inventory, my siblings were in the right spots and also had their stuff. I was looking around to make sure everything was good, and it was. The overworld and the Nether were intact, but when I entered the End, the spawn pad and the island was (as I can remember) the same, which would make sense since the seed would not have changed. However, when I spawned I had to fight the Ender Dragon, so I was suspicious. I changed to creative to kill the dragon faster and check the other part of the End. And I saw a problem, by that time, we had only raided one End structure which had an elytra and we took it. That old elytra was still in our overworld chest and there was a new one in the End building. We also noticed that the bridges we made between islands also disappeared. Additionally, one of my siblings that was in the end when my game crashed spawned in the spot they were supposed to be.
This brought me to the conclusion that my End was reset, and I wanted to know if you guys knew what files to move from the corrupted world into the non-corrupted world in order to fix this. I was also curious to why this would happen.
Thanks!
