So yesterday I updated my OS to windows 10. I believe I was on windows 7 before. I opened minecraft 1.14 on a optifine installation and went on a realm. It was fine for 30 seconds then it just went to 0 fps. I updated java. Reinstalled the launcher, but it did not work. I tried going on a singleplayer world but it was still 0 fps. It couldnt be specs because my laptop handled it fine before. I went on a normal 1.14 installation and it ran around 1 to 2 fps. This has made my game almost unplayable. I fiddled around with optifine for a bit but it still didnt work. Please help. Thank you.
Support for Intel's 2nd generation graphics ended while ago in Windows 8. You may face compatibility issues with windows 10 on this hardware. If you are unable to find a solution, I suggest going back to Windows 7.
Unfortunately your computer is an antiquity and really doesn't meet Minecraft's system requirements.
New computer time!

Say something silly, Laugh 'til it hurts, Take a risk, Sing out loud, Rock the boat, Shake things up, Flirt with disaster, Buy something frivolous, Color outside the lines, Cause a scene, Order dessert, Make waves, Get carried away, Have a great day!
But even running windows 7 the computer is below the requirements for Minecraft so may not run or will run badly.

Yeah its a crap computer ik, but I made things run well with optifine before so it wasn't all devastating. I don't care much for fps as long as it doesn't go below 10. Which its doing. It's just after I updated it started running badly as you said. So I think the problem is the compatibility
So essentially. Its not compatible with windows 10 drivers so I have to revert back to windows 7. It is a old laptop I know. My dad gave me it when he got his new one.

It appears HP didn't make any Windows 10 drivers, try the Windows 7 ones under "Driver-Graphics" and see if there is any change.

Technically the game is playable, but not on windows 10 due to compatibility issues with drivers.
System requirements are a baseline and don't really mean much, mostly about the OS and the driver compatibility with the OS.
Note here the keyword is playable.
