I've had Minecraft Java Edition (digitally) since Monday 23rd January 2012 (when Minecraft was on 1.1) on an old desktop computer. Then a few years ago I transferred it onto a new laptop with a memory stick. The new laptop is an Hp with Microsoft Windows 10..
The problem that I've had now for about half a year (since 1.13 and now 1.14.2) is that whenever I try to launch Minecraft (when it's supposed to show The Mojang logo, and then the main menu) approximately 95% of the time the window time it's just blank white and says: (Not Responding) at the top bar. And nothing happens, I've tried waiting, for hours, but still nothing. Nothing ever happens until I click on the X in the top-right corner and then a smaller window saying: 'Java(TM) Platform SE binary is not responding' pops up, and next it takes me back to the launcher, where it says that the game crashed. The strange thing is that approximately 5% of the time it actually does work normally.
I don't understand why this is happening to me. I'm not sure if there's a fault with the computer (but that wouldn't really explain why it works approximately 5% of the time) or if it's something else. Perhaps God just hates me. I mean I've had bad luck for my whole entire life and I might have some kind of curse. I often feel like that God is always watching me so that he can make my life a living Hell.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Have you tried to look at the java directory which minecraft is supposed to run in? You can make sure that these folders are in the right place by going to minecraft launch setting in the laucher, then clicking advanced settings. Make sure that the directory is in the right place, or else the java platform will not allow minecraft to load. The main game directory should be your .minecraft folder. Mine is in C:/-------\AppData\.minecraft. When this is fixed, go to the java directory. The java directory should be where java is in the minecraft folder. For example, mine is in the folder minecraft, then go to runtime, then lib, the jre-x64 then the javaw.exe. Make these changes, and it should load! Also, make sure that the javaw.exe is not running in administrator! Cheers!
