I am running the latest Minecraft launcher and Java 1.8.0
The Minecraft launcher GUI is running on Ubuntu Server 16.04.6 LTS with a X11 Forwarding ssh server.
The Xorg server is running on a different computer in a virtual machine (VM Virtual box), its running Arch Linux and connected to the server with X11 ssh client.
My Minecraft is modified, and running forge version 1.12.2, but still fails even if vanilla. Strangely it succeeds on 1.13.2.
I am able to successfully start an Xsession, and run the Minecraft launcher. But upon play, returns the following error (in spoiler below) without displaying the main game window. I suspect it may be graphics driver related, so I ran
