Reinstall Avast from scratch.
See this: https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-34749
i did, also trying to start up minecraft without any antivirus softwore at all. it didnt change anything
Your HijackThis log shows that you have Avast.
i mean i also tried it without avast, i did that an hour ago. after that i just reinstalled it.
Try opening whichever world save folder is crashing and delete the "session.lock" file.
sadly it still crashed :(. Coming back tomorrow to this thread and trying again. Thanks Conor for your help so far, hope we can fix it eventually
I just noticed that I cant join any Minecraft Servers aswell. "Can't connect to Server."
Run the following command in an elevated command prompt: netsh winsock reset
I tried it and nothing changed. It said that I have to restart which i also did before i tried.
java.lang.IllegalStateException: failed to create a child event loop
This usually means your firewall, router and/or antivirus is preventing MC through. Double check the settings.
"We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far."
thanks alot majestyc, i got it fixed now. I didnt know i setup my girlfriends network as a public one and not private, my windows firewall was still enabled for public networks. Such a little thing kept me from playing minecraft. I will reinstall Avast now and check if i can still play. Thanks to anyone for helping me:))
How do i close this thread now? can someone do that for me?
Best regards,
Konstantin
