Okay so I am not new to minecraft, however i am still considered a noob and am new to posting to forums. I play for leisure and enjoy doing so. My problem is that I recently bought a new computer and am having fps problems. I use the twitch launcher. I tried playing stoneblock and the fps runs around 45-60 but I am experiencing drops down to 0 that cause me to have to keep hitting the f11 key to bring it back up. I try to play the foregoing modpack and can barely get to 25 fps if I am lucky but is never steady and usually stays in the single digits. I just want to be able to play the game without any skipping or lag. My computer is a cyberpower pc. The specs are as follows:
GPU: AMD Radeon(TM) RX Vega 11 Graphics
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2400G with Radeon Vega Graphics
RAM: 16G
Curent Resolution: 1920x1080
I've looked on forums trying to fix this for weeks and have tried reducing the render distance, changing smooth lighting, changing clouds to fast, changing the graphics from fancy to fast, installing razer cortex to improve system performance, installing malwarebytes, have half of my ram set in the java arguments, tried installing all the mods in the minecraft launcher, tried installing optifine however malwarebytes prevents it from being downloaded, setting java under task manager to high priority. I am at my ropes end and could really use some help without being trash talked as it solves nothing.
Thank you Tails, I appreciate it. Tried what you suggested and it improved my FPS max now getting around 60 instead of 25 but still drops to single digits about the same rate. Any other suggestions? I am at the point where I want to punch my monitor.
Thank you again Tails major improvement. Max fps 30. Still fluctuates but played for roughly 10 minutes due to other things going on in house. and I saw it dip down to single digits only once. Stays roughly between 12 and 25 FPS. Oh and a good thing, i upped the render distance to twelve and it still worked that well.
webrosc could you please elaborate. Like I said in OP not new to minecraft probably should have elaborated that I am used to console which is start and go no issues for me. Not totally computer savvy. Learn as I go kinda guy.
Say something silly, Laugh 'til it hurts, Take a risk, Sing out loud, Rock the boat, Shake things up, Flirt with disaster, Buy something frivolous, Color outside the lines, Cause a scene, Order dessert, Make waves, Get carried away, Have a great day!

Uninstall razer cortex, see https://minecraftirc.net/support-articles/known-incompatible-software/
Post a screenshot with F3 enabled and your JVM arguments.

Try updating AMD drivers.
