Minecraft was not working, I discovered if Discord is not running then Minecraft works fine, when I open Discord then Minecraft stops responding.
The Minecraft output log shows nothing out of the ordinary, it seems to stop outputting when the game stops responding.
This applies to modded and un-modded Minecraft.
Any ideas on the cause and any possible solutions?
If this is already a thread and has been solved, I apologize for repeating but I have not found it, would love if one can link that thread here.
The only thing you can do is to shut down Discord in Task Manager.

I had this same problem. Not sure if it was a coincidence but it only started doing this after I bought a second monitor. In the Discord app I went to settings>overlay, and disabled the in-game overlay.
I'd love to find a solution.

Yeah or for I simply quit it as normal...
I was very much hoping to find a fix or some tweak that would allow me to use them both.

This fixed it for me.
I can understand how that can cause issues.
