Usually that error means a firewall or anti-virus program, or some other program is blocking the connection. Check to see what you have installed, and tell it to let Minecraft (or more specifically, Java) to connect to the Internet.

So, I've told my antivirus program to let Java access the internet, and it worked, Minecraft's now loading worlds! Thanks a lot, Dweller_Benthos and urielsalis for the input! : D
Minecraft crashes whenever I load a singleplayer world.
Tried to figure out what's the problem myself, and I think it's java, and I've tried reinstalling it multiple times.
Error Message:
The game crashed whilst updating screen events
Error: java.lang.IllegalStateException: failed to create a child event loop
