While I was playing MC my computer shut down due to a power outage.
I assume Minecraft failed to save and close properly, as a result it broke.
Every time I try to boot up Minecraft I get this:
[13:51:18 SEVERE]:

[13:51:18 INFO]: Deleting /home/rich/.minecraft/versions/1.11.2/1.11.2-natives-14525881544670
Any ideas?
Keep in mind I was playing perfectly fine up until the power outage, so it can't have to do with my Java version, LWJGL version, etc.

Use this link to get an extra 500MB when you get a new acount with dropbox: http://db.tt/euCmx3di
If the command above produces any output like /path/to/jre1.6.0_34/bin/pack200 remove the directory that is parent of bin, like this: "sudo rm -rf /path/to/jre1.6.0_34"

Vanilla 1.11 running on Linux, by the way.
Also, is Minecraft broken or did Java break?
Backup your worlds, delete your .minecraft folder, run the launcher again. If that doesn't work, uninstall java, then install java again.
First half of that didn't work.
I'm a bit of a linux noob, how do I uninstall and then reinstall java?
What distro are you using?
kind of an older version
10.04
Ubuntu?
Yes, Lucid Lynx from what I can gather.
Open a terminal, type "sudo apt-get remove default-jre jre default-jdk jdk -y" enter your password, reboot, open terminal, type "sudo apt-get install default-jre -y"
Result:
Package default-jre is not installed, so not removed.
E: Couldn't find package default-jdk
What does it say when you type "java -version"?
bash: /usr/bin/java: cannot execute binary file
"dpkg-query -W -f='${binary:Package}\n' | grep -E -e '^(ia32-)?(sun|oracle)-java' -e '^openjdk-' -e '^icedtea' -e '^(default|gcj)-j(re|dk)' -e '^gcj-(.*)-j(re|dk)' -e '^java-common' | xargs sudo apt-get -y remove
"sudo apt-get -y autoremove"
"dpkg -l | grep ^rc | awk '{print($2)}' | xargs sudo apt-get -y purge"
"sudo bash -c 'ls -d /home/*/.java' | xargs sudo rm -rf"
"sudo rm -rf /usr/lib/jvm/*"
"for g in ControlPanel java java_vm javaws jcontrol jexec keytool mozilla-javaplugin.so orbd pack200 policytool rmid rmiregistry servertool tnameserv unpack200 appletviewer apt extcheck HtmlConverter idlj jar jarsigner javac javadoc javah javap jconsole jdb jhat jinfo jmap jps jrunscript jsadebugd jstack jstat jstatd native2ascii rmic schemagen serialver wsgen wsimport xjc xulrunner-1.9-javaplugin.so; do sudo update-alternatives --remove-all $g; done"
"sudo updatedb"
"sudo locate -b '\pack200'"
If the command above produces any output like /path/to/jre1.6.0_34/bin/pack200 remove the directory that is parent of bin, like this: "sudo rm -rf /path/to/jre1.6.0_34"
Follow the instructions in https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-install-java-on-ubuntu-with-apt-get to install oracle java.
Also, why you are still in 10.04 instead of the latest LTS(16.04) or newer?
