So, I have no problem connecting to my server the first time I launch Minecraft. However, if I disconnect for whatever reason and try to reconnect, my client crashes - or I can just quit out after disconnecting and launch the game again and it's fine, but that takes forever. ;--; The same thing happens to another person on the server. However, as far as I can tell it's not happening to the other 2 people so I'm all shrugs right now.
Anyway, this is the crash and I'm not certain what it causing the issue or how to fix it:

Ohh no... that's what I was afraid of. I absolutely love that mod though... ;--; Well if I can't fix it, I guess I'll just have to live with it. It's strange, I've had 2-3 of 1.7.10 servers in the past and I've always had that mod, it never acted up before. I wonder if it's the version of Optifine or Forge that I'm using...
You can try updating to Forge 1614. Though it isn't listed as a the latest recommended build, most packs I have come across use this version (including mine).
I will try that, thank you very much. (I'll let you know if it works!)
EDIT: No change
I downloaded the latest 1.7.10 forge, deleted my old profiles and moved my mods folder to the desktop, installed Forge then moved everything back, but I didn't do a clean install... Do you think that would've made a difference?
Is it a specific setting on BetterFoliage that's causing the issue?
Yeah, sometimes mod builds have bugs. But the author is usually quick to sort them out. But if you are still having problems you will have to go without Better Foliage for now, I am afraid.
Good news! That sorted everything out. Thanks! I'll mark as resolved, but while I have you here, do you happen to have any idea, off the top of your head, why no water creatures are spawning on my server? D: Can't find a single squid, but I did see one small fish in my 1 hour of searching!

Squids spawn in deeper water like rivers or oceans.
Don't bother risking yourself drowning. Squids spawn near the surface.
And I noticed that if you stay in the same spot near a river or ocean long enough, you'll eventually see squids start spawning.
Also, if you install JourneyMap it should display white dots where passive mobs are located without you having to search every corner. And if there is a cluster in water then it is probably a group of squids.
Yea, I'm using Voxel map atm-really handy! I see other water creatures but no squids, so it makes me think something is stopping them from spawning. I may have to open another thread if I can't find the answer, but I'll keep looking and searching online first!
When I make a single player world, I see squids in the water closest to spawn. Oh dear D: Wonder why they aren't spawning on my server...same mods...

You said that you are using mods that add water creatures? Then the squids are probably being overridden.

There's your problem. Remove Better Foliage. Mods that mess with the vanilla renderer or AI tend to cause trouble like this sometimes.
Ohh no... that's what I was afraid of.
Also, it crashes when I go to and from the Nether.
Make sure you use the latest version of Better Foliage. The one in your listing is 1.7.10-1.0.11, and the latest appears to be 1.7.10-2.0.14.
Oh my gosh, I didn't even notice that. I'll try that right now and update you! (Thanks for trying to help me <3)
Yeah, sometimes mod builds have bugs.
I've been looking at pools of water in various biomes and the ocean, but I haven't seen anything. I've gone underwater a few times too. D:
EDIT: I've seen several small fish and a dolphin, but no squids.
Yea, I have mo'creatures. I just don't understand why they spawn in single player but not on my server :F
Servers generally limit mob spawn rates.
Hmm the config files for my client and server and exactly the same, same mods too. This is driving me crazy!
