I'm trying to use 1.5.2 so I can try to download 1.5.2 Forge for Clay Soldiers, but when I use it, after the Mojang Logo passes, the game crashes. Can someone help me with this?

recently rediscovered this account and the memories have been flowing back, let me tell you. it's INSANE.
You have to edit options.txt to change the name of the language file from en_us to en_US (or whatever other language that you have selected; the second part has to be changed to uppercase); I believe this is due to a change made in 1.11 which saves all names as lowercase:
Workaround
Stop Minecraft
Navigate to .minecraft/
Open options.txt with an editor
Search for the line lang:xx_yy (xx_yy = LanguageCode_CountryCode, e.g. en_us for English (US) )
Change the lowercase CountryCode to uppercase, e.g. change en_us to en_US
Save the file
Downgrading is not, was never and will never be officially supported. You are advised to run older versions in separate directories. Otherwise, issues like this will occur.
As noted, use a different game directory to run 1.5.2, which should always be done in any case if you are playing multiple versions so you don't accidentally load a world in the wrong version (which will really mess it up, especially if you go to/from 1.11.2 to 1.5.2. Even just going from 1.11.2 to 1.10.2 will corrupt it).
The only issue with that is that versions prior to 1.6 (again) have issues with custom directories (support was not implemented in the game until then) so you are best off using the default .minecraft folder for 1.5.2 and making a new directory for later versions:

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
Or... its just a invalid session id that happens sometimes in the new launcher. Fix is to click your name in the launcher, log out then log back in
